Ok...I know its supposed to be a dog eat dog world in the end now but I find it difficult for anyone to build anything when you can't "hide" your farm. Someone raided our farm and it was way out there in the void. There was no way for anyone to know it was there except for the use of /near 10000. I feel it is way too powerful and should be limited to a certain number. or maybe unlimited for donators who have the /near function. It was raided within an hour of being made. A couple people agree with this limit. Please consider this suggestion.
+1. I think people who donated for this feature and are voidwalkers should have a limit of /near 800 and if you have this feature and are a voyager, you should be limited to /near 500. 800 is still a big area but will drastically improve survival in the void.
I'm fairly certain you can't set multiple limits for /near. You can just set a limit, and then have a group that can bypass that limit entirely. Simply moving the unlimited /near to people have extcommands (which has /near) means that a good large portion of the people in the end PvPing would still be able to use an unlimited /near (or team with someone who does). Not allowing it in my opinion, makes the end way too safe. Simply by camping the far side of the end from the singular portal will make it really easy to hide a farm forever (albeit still difficult to get to). It's meant to be a high risk high reward world, not a world where you can just set up a permanent base and expect never to be found/messed with.
I agree with @Nicit6 The End, like he said, is supposed to be very difficult, for there's a lot of money for grabs. If you don't like it, go back to melon farming
You really can't make a stable 50-60k/hr when you have to build brand new farms, because you just got raided 3 times in the past 2 days. Someone with voidwalker can literally track a group of farmers and raid their farm when they log out. +1
That makes the end way too easy. If you want to farm and not worry about others farm melons or wheat or something.
Isn't it a little too hard though, spending about 3 hours locating a safe place to build, constructing the farm, then being invaded withen the day? Dying, losing your armor, tools, and hard work, while only making 60k for 7 hours of work? Then having to buy everything you lost back, and restarting a farm. I think limiting it to this would be fair:
I have to disagree... If you constantly have people stalking you, it's impossible to make a stable 20k/hr, and that's much less than the promised 75k/hr. We had a base miles from spawn, yet it got raided once we turned our backs. Not implementing this would be a huge mistake, and many users would simply give up, because for most of them, making income would be nearly impossible. If the End is going to be successful, you need to at least let us make some profit before a raid comes along.
The issue is, creating massive dark zones makes raids virtually impossible. It's fairly difficult and time consuming moving in one direction when you can roughly figure out where in the end your target is, virtually impossible when you're basically wandering a hostile world with no way of knowing where people are. This isn't a world where you're meant to set up a permanent base, you're supposed to set a rough base up and use it for as long as you can defend it. Do fruit earnings need to be buffed a bit more for this to be viable? Probably. The only thing I can think of is once we finally settle on a decent place for fruit, charge for hiding in the end. Not like, "$1,000,000 for Invest+" vanish, like... charge per minute you want to be hidden. Something like /hideme 10m would hide you from /near for 10 minutes and charge you some amount (I'd think 1/120th of the max hourly earnings per minute, meaning hiding would effectively cost you half your income). Even with that, your actual character wouldn't be hidden so you're still at a PvP risk. Perhaps even show up on near for people who are really close.
Our farms won't ever be permanent bases? Andrew said that there would be End resets likewise to Mining/nether resets. And if I constantly get raided, how I am supposed to be making 60k/hr? We need to make the End good for raiders, yes, but it's not good for the farmers if raiding is much too easy.
That's the thing you aren't supposed to be making 60k/hr. The end wasn't made so you can easily collect tons of money.
Andrew promised 60k/hr, so we should be making 60k/hr. It isn't easy, true, but I really don't make much money right now (20k/hr from pure farming), plus the mass amounts of time just finding a good location & setting up a farm.
Kill the raiders before they damage your farm. It's not meant to be "still 60k an hour after you make it back to your farm after dying a few times", it's meant to be "60k an hour because you fended off all opposition and stuck to it".
Lol this world wasn't made so people could just farm 60k/hr. He "promised" 60k/hr so people would go in there and fight. I highly doubt he expects most people to make anywhere near that amount.
You would only make 60k/hour if you could defend your farm from raiders and fight off other users from trying to raid the farms. Theirs no promise and this cannot be controlled, people will do what they want to make their own amount of money and that may be their way searching for other users making huge farms and then when the user who in which made the farm is at their weakest and not expecting the raiders will attack and take your farm so you have to be prepared. Andrew cant control if other users interfere with the farms, what he most likely meant is you will make 60/hour if you do everything right meaning defending your farm and extending it to be bigger. Its just like the nether except different in a way of speaking and the set up of the world.
No I paid for unlimited near. Also the only way to be making 60k an hour is for andrew to raise the price of fruit to 10 dollars
