Some of the conversations are getting pretty out of control late at night (normally around 11pm Central Standard time (-6)) because there are no moderators on, or the 1 that is on is mostly AFK. I know that having a moderator on at all times is nearly impossible without having too many Moderators for the server... But we all know the level of maturity is pretty low from some people, and we need a little more control at certain times... Im not sure if this topic should be under Suggestions or Complaints, but it seems half/half
If things get out of hand, take screenshots and report them. Why do mods have to be around 24/7 to babysit people?
Lots of people don't use the forums or know of the complaint section, lol. Or they're afraid they'll get in trouble, too. We do need at least one more mod that is on at night. Kuke is on, but usually a bit later. I'm hoping that once summer is over everyone will be more active, but then again, there is school... o.o
because we need baby-sitters 'cause the immature kids are getting into the medicine cabinet and taking a few too many Annoying Pills and StupidSauce. I know I can just leave General or /ignore a User, but its still innapropriate chat.
I second this. Although you may be able to /ignore users, if inappropriate material is being blurted out through chat, especially derogatories and hate speech, it can and will offend plethora of diverse users residing on the server. Arguements can be solved with /ignore. Inappropriate content that offend other users cannot be.
Users should be able to enjoy and talk with people in global chat as well, not have to leave it just to avoid those who break the rules or are generally annoying.
Definitely a good idea to have at least one mod on at all times 24/7. You just need to figure out what time all the mods are usually on and possibly hire more for these "late night" situations.
It's hard to find moderators to even be on at night since everyone's schedule is different and changes constantly. This seems to only be a problem at night and we don't have any international members where our night time is their daylight to choose from. When school starts a lot of our members won't be on late at night.
Thing is, I find that those who become mods tend to be more inactive. :/ Not sure if it is just bad timing or what... Night already has so few members. I think once school starts again, everyone will be more active. There won't be people on long vacations without computer/internet access. When summer started, I saw a drop in activity when you didn't count all the promo periods. xD
Yea I know that of course, but you guys are all talking about "night time", there are loads of different time zones it's not always night for everyone....
