Minecraft Username: Jdawger Brief Description: The text above the toolbar that shows how much ECD, EXP, and Job points is very inconsistent, and idk if I am getting properly awarded or not Instructions: What I did in the video is take my magic pick and mine one piece of stone, sometimes two. After that, wait for the text above the toolbar to go away, then do it again. I am not changing anything nor activating super breaker or anything (I also have all the jobs features) How many times did you recreate this?: Many times. Result: The text is inconsistent. Sometimes it reads around +1.06$ 4.80XP, +0.05pts after mining one stone, sometimes it reads +0.79$ 3.60XP, +0.04pts. I even got one that read +0.53$ 2.40XP, +0.02pts that I didn't record. However, all four mining job bars flash above, so according to that, it seems to be registering them all. Expected Result: Given my levels, it should always read +1.06$ 4.80XP, +0.05pts and increase by roughly that amount every time I mine a piece of stone Evidence:
Yeah, its just a rounding thing. Due to the equation I have set for income progression your actually also earning parts of a cent with each job action. I have it configured to show only two decimal places for the income, so it rounds up or down depending on how much of the cent was stacked with that action. It does award correctly, you just see the visual inconsistency due to rounding.
I guess I am not following what you mean by "rounding" in this situation. In the way I am taking it with what you described with other decimal points, rounding would imply that each stone block generates, for an example number, $1.20xxxxxx where the x's are other digits, therefore the readout would either state $1.20 or $1.21 and be inconsistent by a few pennies or so. The readout states 25% or even 50% less than what it should be. I am in four mining jobs and make $1.20 per stone block mined (Level 21 for all four mining jobs). Sometimes the readout still states $0.90 on my first stone mined, and sometimes it says $0.60, like the display is not registering one or two of the jobs in the display (I can confirm that I am still being awarded the correct ECD, EXP, and job points, even if the display is wrong). This is also the case for all subsequent stones mined; in the example video, I got the correct readout for the first stone mined, and then the second one was lower than that amount x2. Just wanted to re-state what the bug was as it is a significant display bug (and re-state that the display is still inaccurate as my initial report, despite the new configuration), but it's not a big deal as things are being awarded correctly at the end of the day and is purely visual.
From my own experience with this purely visual glitch, what is happening is that sometimes the first action is showing income for being level 1 for some/all jobs, and subsequent actions are catching up the math lag. It's like the action triggers ActionBar first, mathing second, and bal adding third, which is why there's no accounting issues on what you actually get vs. what it says. No matter what is happening, the glitch is visual and not affecting the final outcome, so it's more mildly annoying than an actual problem.
After further testing comparing income to /jobs log I have found the action bar is indeed not displaying income correctly. I have reported this issue to the developer and we await a response.
