Forgive me if I'm posting this in the wrong section. Just signed up today. Haven't played PC Minecraft since 1.6.1 and I've never been a guy for servers but I'm starting to get into servers. Anyway, I've got some n00bish questions: What's an LWC? I think it's something similar to a griefer but I'm not sure. Are there version requirements? I'm playing 1.8.2-pre3 and every time I try to join, it says "Failed to login: invalid session." I tried restarting Minecraft (including logging off and such) to no avail. Haven't restarted my PC because I'm running Ubuntu and I tinkered with GRUB a bit and it takes around 5 minutes to wait for GRUB to do its thing. I'm a cheap person. Cheap=having money you don't want to spend. Poor=not having a lot of money. So I haven't actually bought Minecraft. I'm using an alt. Could the fact that I'm using an alt have anything to do with the aforementioned Minecraft-related error? Again. Today is my first day on EcoCityCraft (well, the forums at least; haven't been on a server yet). So forgive me if my questions are extremely n00bish. Also, if this is in the wrong category, let me know. I couldn't find a tech support category so I threw it here.
Hey 2tone! To answer your questions simply: 1) It's a lock you can use on the server to protect your things 2) We allow 1.8-1.8.1 online (Not sure about 1.8.2) 3) You can only connect using a valid Minecraft. Cracked versions do not connect. Moved to help/support
Regarding number 3. I'm not a Minecraft genius, but I've a friend who is. He's a redstone YouTuber. Anyway, almost everything I know about mc I learned from him. And, so far as I know, I'm not running cracked. I'm running the official launcher from minecraft.net/download (accessed by clicking "Already bought the game?" or whatever from minecraft.net) with one of <number between 15 and 100 because I can't remember exactly how many> of alts I bought for <price less than US$3.50 because I can't remember the exact price, either>. Just making sure that we have the same definition of "alt."
There's also the possibility that I could be banned. I'm not sure how Minecraft alts originate, whether someone gives the alt site their username and password or what. But if this alt previously belonged to someone else, I could be banned. Highly unlikely. But, before I registered for the forum, it said that I was banned from the server. That could have also been due to the fact that I wasn't registered on the forums, considering I haven't seen that since I signed up. Very slim chance that that is what's going on, but there's still a chance.
That would be it, it appears that the account that matches your forum name is currently banned from the server.
Need some honesty here, a simple Google on your alt name does provide another history, would like to assume your intentions on ECC are honest ones.
I got on this forum because I just purchased a Minecraft account. Prior to now, I had never Googled 2tone87. Now I see why I've received a ban that's probably indefinite lol
I dont know if you have to still make a ban appeal but you might wanna make one xD Someone correct me if im not correct.
