Isengard Diamond Mining Challenge

I did this frequently a while back, but had to stop to save what was left of my sanity.

The rules are as follows:

-You must use Stone Pickaxes for everything besides the Diamonds themselves (if you find redstone/gold, you may of course use an iron or diamond pickax to mine the ores).

-You must have THIS SONG playing at ALL TIMES during the challenge.

-No enchantments, potions, or any other items that could potentially speed up your mining time are allowed during the challenge.

-Any diamonds found before the ten-minute mark on the song are unable to be used towards the challenge.

-You may not mine around the diamonds prior to beginning the challenge. In other words, the mine shafts must be fresh (you have not previously explored them or been given instructions by other users)

Victory Conditions

-Personally obtain at least TEN diamonds by mining before your brain melts (or before the song ends, if you last that long)

-This challenge may only be completed in one sitting. No extended pauses (anything longer than 30 minutes) are allowed. Short breaks are of course allowed - and encouraged!

This is a challenge of endurance and luck. How long can you endure listening to Legolas tell you where the hobbits are being taken? How many times must Smeagol ask Legolas what he said? Will you retain your sanity and emerge victorious, or become a helpless vegetable after listening to TEN HOURS OF HOBBITS?!?

***This is just meant for amusement. I have no current plans for prizes. In the future, if there are enough contestants, there may be prizes given to those with the shortest times acquiring 10 diamonds, and for the most diamonds acquired during one play-through of the ten hour long song. Tell me if you liked it... or if you are contemplating removing your ears.***​

You're right, it's not terrible - but this version is ten hours long. There are very, very few songs I would listen to for ten hours on repeat - this is definitely NOT one of those songs.

 

That's just cruel, iEvo. The contestants need to have at least a small chance of winning, right? They certainly wouldn't stand a chance if they had to listen to Friday.
