Well my first suggestion would be to raise the font size for this thread, it's rather difficult to see xD. I'll look into this a bit more later today (busy farming atm) and provide you with any help I can give!
It can be a Fort3 on any tool, but a fort3 on shovel would break the soulsand too fast. Most recommend a Fort3 axe or pickaxe, without Eff.
