There's an old thread somewhere, but I like fresh and new; and not necroing. xP Right now my internet is spiking and lagging really badly, but I usually get about 33 ping. My computer's average is 15down and 17up. We pay for (last I was told) 30down and 30up. I want to know y'all speeds. D:

It has been that way my whole life that we've had Internet. Baffles the shit out of me, too... :| It's good, though; being an artist who shows her work online, I need to be able to upload my 100mb files, lmao
Mine stinks compared to yours. I HATE Time Warner Cable!!! I have RoadRunner Turbo, supposedly 30mbps, SO wrong!!! I guess I'm on Wi-Fi, and still faster than 51% of the US. I'll try plugged in to cat5 cable. OK, so 5.5mbps faster download, 1 worse upload, and same ping. Faster than 56%. Very strange. I'll have to try my dad's Verizon 4G Mi-Fi and see how it does.
Ya, I'm about 50 miles (it says). I actually think it's less, because I kind of know where is is, and I'm less than 50 miles from it. Still, how do you get over 500 mb/s download and 147 mb/s upload, even if you are right next door to the server??? That's just crazy!!! I just remembered, I do get faster speeds if I run off a server in Indiana somewhere. It's like 200 miles away, but the ping is like 50, and I can get almost 20 upload, and over 1 download. Makes no sense :? At least mine isn't the worst here (no offense to iEvolve!) *EDIT* He is in AU though, so I guess I can't exatly compare.....
