Instructions: Simply try to connect. How many times did you recreate this bug?: six times so far Result: can't connect and I get the above message Expected Result: I expect to see ecocity available in the server list and to connect normally Evidence:
Anyone have any tips? I'm still getting this error, two days in a row now. I can connect to other servers but not to ECC.
latest client as well as tried the 1.7.2 on both desktop and laptop , rebooted router and modem, no change
This sometimes happens to me, when I am on the server, and I just kinda get kicked for lag. I would recommend re-installing the launcher, and then re-logging, and then restarting your whole ROUTER if the problem still persists.
Laptop install is new , have rebooted my modem and ROUTER according to what I have read about this problem is that it is SERVER SIDE not client unfortunatly it does not affect everyone one the server and the only way to fix it is to do a hard restart of the server - not just the minecraft part
Doesn't the server still restart at regular intervals? Is that just a Minecraft restart or a hardware reboot? I just tried connecting again with no luck. Other servers working fine.
I took the liberty of doing /seen cornpalace, and it says you have not been online for 1 hour and 49 minutes, approximately the time of your post. Just a tidbit of information that might be useful (Unless you really were able to log on)
Thanks! Yes, I have made some new discoveries. I remoted into my work computer and was able to connect to ECC fine. That explains why I was seen online earlier tonight. Perhaps this is related to my home internet connection. Internet seems fine, I connect to other servers, but no dice on ECC. I even tried connecting from my wife's laptop and it don't work. I have rebooted my router and modem. Not sure what could be causing it. Tomorrow I will try connecting from my work internet using my laptop. That will hopefully confirm whether or not the problem is confined to my home connection. This would still seem odd since all other internet activity is working fine, including other MC servers.
Unfortunately I'm in no way an internet troubleshooting expert (Still learning!), but does "tracert mc.ecocitycraft.com" work up to the 11th hop when run in cmd? [A wild shot in the dark, mind you, but it's the only thing I can think of since all servers are default port 25565]
Also, you can try using this. [Bug Report] Can't Log Into ECC Thread starter has similar problem of being able to log into other servers, although the solution wasn't successful in that scenario. (ofc with 1.7 now)
I don't know much about using traceroute but it definitely changes at hop 11. This is what mine looks like (starting at hop 10): 10 xe-2-3-2.lax21.ip4.tinet.net (141.136.106.2) 49.863 ms 47.300 ms 22.493 ms 11 * * * 12 * * * 13 * * * 14 *
It just returns the path of routers your packet goes through (to my knowledge); I was just curious as to if it went that far for you. That's approximately where it ends up for me; I'm guessing the difference in hops is just blame on my provider.
Latest update: I can connect via my laptop at work, cannot connect at home. Internet at home seems to be working fine, including with other MC servers. Maybe the bug is associated with the public ip I have at home? That only changes when the ISP decides to refresh it.
Yeah, no progress on my end. I have restarted my router and modem multiple times. If it is related to my router or ISP, it's not affecting anything else as far as I can tell. Web browsing, Netflix, and other MC servers all work fine but ECC is still not working for me. Does anyone know if the server has been restarted since this problem developed?
