First of all, I would like to say thanks to all the staff for their work, they do it 99% perfect and fast, their presence at the server is always effective and welcome by players, including me.
    But.
There's SOMETIMES one thing which makes me upset and grieves me deeply.
The staff *sometimes* forces topic change in the ingame chat without a real reason. They HAVE some reason, but I consider it not to be enough for a strict regulation.

I can find the following rules, concerning chat and discussions:

" There is to be absolutely no discussions regarding politics, religion, or anything deemed sexual on this server. Excessive swearing, as well as direct swearing at another user is not tolerated."
" You agree not to post any abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening, sexually-orientated, drug-related, religious, political material including any other material that may violate any laws be it of your country, the country where the "EcoCityCraft Server” is hosted or any International Laws."

    Also, this can be found:
"You agree that “EcoCityCraft Server Staff” has the right to kick, ban, mute or moderate any player at any time anyway they should see fit."

And still. If a moderator or a game-admin just dislikes the topic, can he really change it by his own will, using the "has the right to..." paragraph? I do not mean "hot topics", like religion etc. I mean e.g. future 1.3 ingame features. Some people have "opinions", or they spread rumours to make their business more effective here and now. Should this be forbidden?
I propose to look into world-spread practice. What was called "spreading rumours" today, for the last 200 years is called "Marketing". Here are the examples:

    1) In 18th century Anne Robert Jacques Turgot, the minister of France broke the negative public opinion about... potatoes. People considered potatoes to be useless. He decided to place soldiers and guards around potato fields. The people quickly understood, that worthless things wouldn't be protected and started growing potato widely.
    2) After James Bond film with them Omega Seamaster watches had 900% (yep, nine hundreds!) sales rate growth.
    3) Sr. Donald John Trump, when building his first skyscrapper have chosen a place right near Tiffany's. He knew, that market specialists of Tiffany's always choose the best place, and that is a result of their enormous and EXPENSIVE work. By the way, during the Crisis Trump was the only person, who didn't lower the renting prices, because he considered status to be more expensive than money. And that's one of reasons why he is one of the richest persons of the world.

    That was some lyrics.
Now about some law-tricks. As it is widely known, local laws and agreements cannot violate global international and government laws.
I may be misinformed, but seems like ECC is physically situated in zayo network, whose headquarters are located at Louisville, CO 80027, thus all activity inside it should not violate US laws, such as the First Amendment to the United States Constitution, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."...
If it is not really situated in the US, we can lookup there, and still find almost the same idea in any constitution of any developed and civilized country.

So once again is my question.
Could the staff be more responsible while using "change the topic please!" ability?

With deep respect to the whole staff and best wishes.

I love your attempt to inform us that we should mind our manners when we are enforcing rules. As you clearly quoted we are able to moderate any and all users as we see fit to. This is a Minecraft server, a game played by many users around the world of all ages. This is not a court room, and you don't need more than half of your post.

We will continue to force change any topic that is inappropriate or getting out of hand in any sense of the term. In the future if you would like to discuss any decision made by any moderator or myself, please feel free to PM me on the forums or in game.

    Locked.
