ok So we know for sure that Nodus is illegal radarbros is illegal zans minimap illegal reis mini map allowed DIamond Radar mod {dont know but allows you to radar ores proberly a xray and my guess would be illegal} Material Detector 1.4.7 Mod (another radar for blocks can tell 2 blocks radius what you might mine guessing illegal but no offical word now here is a list of someof the well know mods out there i know we cant stop these types of mods but we could at least ban them outright only minimap needed ingame should be CjB even if it has a xray feature your not allowed to install that part if you do and get caught sucked in i say. these types of mods make me rage its plain as day that a majority are using some mod or one of these to find spawners chest players what ever it finds for you. also reis minimap was said as legal cause the radar is only usable if MOTD is set well just use reimonekey for 1.4.7 and bang its now enabled you can cavemap and radar i tested this on another server while i wait out my request 7day ban (should not ragequit guys all other servers suck) these things need to be made illegal to use im not only one here who agrees those that disagree must love cheats or cheat them selfs i dont know but who in there right mind would allow such unfair gains vs the normal hard working non cheating players so please can we get a offical ruling that all minimaps radars xrays be illegal and allow only cjb as the legal mod for minimaps
cjb xray doesn't work because the mod developer make an option for server owners to disable some features of cjb. I agree with the rest of your points.
people don't need radar to find someone at a spawner. In the mining world, you can use the /near command as a "getting hotter, getting colder" method to get closer and closer to someone using a spawner. Add in fly+ or /jump and they can get to you quite quickly. I'm 100% sure there are some cheaters out there (there always are with all games), I'm just saying that a lot can be done with all the donation features out there.
/near dosent allow 1 tunnel exact locations and its a extacommands perk and the only donation feature you can use to find people fly + wont find them just make it easyier to get around ,but this is a legal way to find people what im talking about is diferant minimaps with radars are bad for game and im asking for offical stance on them other wise we may as well all get radars and go out destroy every spawner in game in one day im sure could gather a group and do just that using the so called legal mods at hand then I bet you would all start crying about how unfair they are. also /near dose not work in nether yet ive seen and been killed by a player diging straight onto my head total blatant cheating, espcially when im locked in a box i do this alot so i can record the usernames of these cheats i could understand if i was farming blazes and they heard noise but that wasent the case at that time. also myminecrafter i dont not need to explain how easy it is to bypass server resrictions with any mod xrays dont work well on this server as is cause they have decent anti xray plugin but you can still use to find strongholds etc etc if you want to help then list any mods you think can give unfair advantages so admins can test them and officially say no there not aloud and mabey mods can start actively enforcing these rules.these days i dont see anyone getting baned for using illegal mods or xraying anymore
1. any user can cheat, and its hard to catch those who have it. 2. You can always see the name of the player from their trap and dig towards them, and destroy the spawner. 3. As said in reason 1, its extremely hard to catch users who use any of these illegal mods. And if they do its their own fault. (they basically have to give a screenshot of them using it or else it could just be referred back to reason 2.)
name plates don't always show there is a limit to it and they are really small then really big when you get close, so saying that is just a cop out and a excuse . but this is not the main reason to why i rage quit last week cause too many poeple are cheating in hg in mineing world everywhere, and as a donator i expect a level of secruirty when playing its not only about spawners or people finding me what i dont get is 1 block tunnels straight onto chest those that do this should be banned imidetley mods should check these death tunnels and see if there going straight to spawners/chest if so person should get banned as they cheated to get there chest dont show on minimaps they show on radars and can be seen xraying and this is one of my main beefs atm , i also understand there hard to find and catch as you cant prove it but common sense and good old fashion follow of players suspected would catch them out easy its how xrayers got caught back in day and alot got banned when that happen i guess mods stoped doing that here are some things that would stop most this cheating or dramaticly reduce it 1 remove agressive mobs from mining world bring back mobspawning flags for towns(make drops come from mcmmo this wont happen ethier i dont think) 2 every reset do 1 massive world edit removing all chest with in the border( may take a little bit longer per reset but totally doable) 3 bringing lwc back would stop them using cheat/mods to get to spawners as not all would be destroyable thus removing urge to cheat and say andrew sent me( this wont happen so who cares right) just doing these 3 things would stop alot of the major cheating (no 1) I know I will get alot of flack for (no 2 could be done no bad reasons why it should not be done ethier(no 3) alot want but admins and mods decided its not happening anyways as i said before i wanted a mod/admin to post wether or not all these mods are legal or illegal especially the minimap radars
Take it from someone who has done a lot of hunger games on other servers in the past. With the right settings and in full screen I can see a nameplate up to 50 blocks away. Its simle you stand directly above and dig strait down. If the other user is doing something it is easy to kill them. Do not always asume they are cheating. As far as mods go its simple. If they provide one user a distinct advantage over another then it is likely illegal. Cjb is really only used for a basic minimap and for flying. Everything else is disabled. That is why it is allowed. If you are using a mod and feel as though you probably shouldn't be it would probably be a good idea to stop. I have a list of mods that I have used for most of the time on this server. They must be installed in this order. Mod loader Optifine Macro keybinding mod Cjb/api Inventory tweaks - sorting is disabled but the autoswitch is very handy when building. Gamma bright As far As I know these are the most common mods used on several servers.
CJB minimap without xray is legal. CJB with xray is illegal and you get banned if you're caught (with the important word being "if"). In a similar vein I'd propose Rei's minimap stays legal, but using it with Reimonkey is illegal and if you're caught (again, "if"...) you should get punished. Perhaps not as hard as for xray.
The problem about banning people who dig straight down to spawners is they may have boughten the coordinates. When I bought spawner cords I dug straight down to the spawner. I don't anymore, but I did as a resident.
