hmm 7 obsidian for a diamond. Basically, do it based on the value of obsidian and the item. Pretend obsidian is a $5 bill, since it is worth about $5 in game. That would mean 7 obsidian, or $35, for a diamond.
Yeah it might be easier and more consistent if you just check the prices of all these items on the server with /worth and divide the value of each item by $5 and multiply by a percentage you want for overhead, i.e. 20%.
