so ever since I have gotten this computer, (back in like October) The Trackpad has been inresponsive when a button is in use. (if I press w, I cant look around) and obviously that is a huge problem for being able to play mc. I've gotten so used to playing with a trackpad and hate using a mouse so the quicker someone can help the quicker I can be more active.
Well for starters have you checked to see if drivers are up-to-date? What is the age of the comp? is this a recent problem or one that's always been an issue since you've had the computer?
bought the computer in october, and its been a problem ever since I got the computer, also drivers are utd
also it came with windows 10 (which I wish I could downgrade as I dont really like windows 10) if that helps
Was it bought brand new? If so it may still be covered under warranty as this kind-of is starting to sound like a hardware problem.
Is it an Acer Aspire laptop? I had one of those and when I was walking I jumped after I started walking and could move around, just a handy way to get past it, not solving it though.
Humor me: 1) press and hold w. 2) press and release another key (while holding w) 3) you should be able to use trackpad.
I don't think it has to do with the warranty, probably it's just a (usually positive) feature that can be disabled. The keyboard is usually used for typing, and when you type you don't want to accidentally activate the touchpad with your thumbs/wrists and move the cursor to a random spot: so there's an option that lets the touchpad deactivate automatically when the keyboard is in use. You just want to disable this setting. I'm not into windows, but have you tried some settings menu? Maybe under accessibility, or something?
Some laptops have a part of the trackpad, a designated box, with a light next to it that lights up when you tap the designated box twice to shut off the trackpad. What brand and model is your computer?
