For Minecraft multiplayer /Including EcoCityCraft) you need a valid account because most servers run via Mojang authentication. If it's not a valid account, Mojang can't authenticate it and you can't join, resulting in an "Invalid session". I recommend to buy a normal account. Yes.
That would be correct. If I use cracked launcher, I will go to the cracked servers instead. If I use genuine (from minecraft.net) launcher, I will visit most servers which is not cracked.
I would suggest reading the Wiki and the tutorials to get an idea of how this server works in particular. Hacking, cheating, scamming, and trolling are not well accepted here and players that insist on doing these things spend a lot of time in "ban" land. Please spend time thinking learning about playing legit (instead of how to bypass rules or bans) and I believe you will have a much better experience overall. Wishing you success!
