Hi guys, I have been looking through the ban appeals section, I do it daily looking for troublemakers so I know who to avoid, and I noticed the times given out for temp-bans, some of them seem quite odd, for instance 3 hours. I wanted to know how these are decided. Is it jointly decided with multiple staff or are there certain guidelines put in place, i.e. Constant staff disrespect, once appealed is 2 hours. To my knowledge, the decision is made by the staff member who is dealing with it. That being said, I would like to think there are some sort of guidline for staff on how many hours/days to give temp bans for, again thats staff information so I don't know if they would be willing to share with us.
We have guidelines although staff are allowed to use their own discretion as to what is fair, and are encouraged to discuss things with other staff. I am sure if you searched through appeals, you would notice a great deal of uniformity amongst similar ban reasons. Of course, repeat offences will lead to longer temp bans.
