Well, I was messing around in the PvP arena, and I saw someone take the lead in the hunt, but it was day... So I tested, it turns out that it happens when you sign up for the hunt in the day, then kill a monster, it gives you points, even when it's not night. Is this intentional? I wouldn't think it is.
