Mmkay so a lot of users dont know about this trick and I feel that it is important to use especially when mining. so heres the steps to increase your brightness enough so you dont have to use torches. 1. Open your .minecraft folder. most of you can already do that 2. Open options.txt 3. Find where it says gamma 4. Change the gamma to 1000.0 5. Click fine in the top left hand corner and then hit save 6. Close minecraft if you have it open then start it again 7. Be able to see things like you never have before!!
