So recently I have seen that people have been doing LWC thefts. If nobody knows what that is it is when a player goes to a chest after being LWC'd and takes the contents of the chest. This of course is legal, but it CAN be made illegal! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you look on the rules in the wiki, it says in Section 8. Clause 1... Clause 1: Teleport and Teleport Plus There is to be no abuse of our teleport feature. If someone denied your request, do not spam them with further requests. Do not teleport someone into a PvP area without previously informing them that the area is enabled as such. There is to be no abuse of our teleport compass feature. If someone asks you to stay out of a specific area, such as their town, you are to obey their request. Read the underlined sections. If you simply say in the "other" column of your LWC removal that you do NOT want people to take from the chest, they cannot! Why? Because you asked them to STAY out! And by going in, they breached that rule, thus eliminating them from taking from the chest. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Clause 1 - Town Ownership and Town Residency Town owners have the right to form any laws, living or building rules within in towns, so long as they do not interfere with our universal server rules. Rules must be posted clearly in the town with locked signs, or agreed to via contract in order to be enforced by staff. In the event the town rules are posted via signs, the mayor must provide screenshots of the member agreeing to the town rules when filing a complaint. Town owners are expected to have respect towards their town’s residents. Scamming and taking advantage of your town’s residents is strictly prohibited. If you are the victim of a Mayor/President town scam, you may submit proper evidence of such to our Complaints forum. Mayors may remove anyone from their towns for any reason, as outlined in Clause 3 - Seizure of Property. You can also have town rules somewhere stating, "DO NOT STEAL FROM LWC'D CHESTS UNLESS YOU'RE THE OWNER OF THEM." By simply saying this, and having screenshot it, you can get the player into trouble for stealing. Simple as that. Another way you could do this is put a sign near the chests saying, "DO NOT ENTER." If they enter and take from the chest, then they can get into trouble. Why? You said so! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take a look at these rules; Clause 2 - Trolling This rule is super simple. Don’t be a troll, and especially don’t troll others away from the server. Please look up “Troll (Internet)” for a more comprehensive definition. This includes flaming or attempts to start any form of chaos and discord within the server. Clause 3 - Harassment Harassment constitutes as any form of action (chat or game play wise) that makes another player feel threatened or otherwise ruins their game play. Griefing in the wild does not constitute harassment. Harassment in the wild is strictly chat/command based. This includes, but is not limited to; blackmail, bullying or any other form of harassment that occurs through our chat system. Attempting to kill other players in any non-PvP zone also constitutes as harassment, and succeeding in killing other players in non-PvP areas is a very severe offence that will result in a ban. Read the underlined words. First and foremost; if you think that stealing from a chest is trolling, and that person is just doing it to harass YOU, you can say file a complaint on it. Say that the person is using LWC's as another form of harassment. This can result in them getting a stern warning or, if this reoccurs, a ban. Hopefully a warning the first time will stop them from repeating. Do you feel threatened by them taking from your LWC? Do you feel like they're aiming it at just you? Well then, file a complaint! If you feel harassed by their actions, file a complaint. Even if it doesn't make them stop their ways or the staff feel like nothing is wrong, at least the public know about it. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- And don't say I'm, "reading the rules wrong." I'm not. I'm reading them exactly as they're made. These are all valid things that you can do to stop those pesky players. I hope this helped! TL : DR Basically if you read the rules closely you can find ways to prevent people from looting the LWC's you have done. I have just stated three rules; you can look for more too!
You don't do lwc's to get the items, you do it to get them out of the way. The items are an extra bonus that you DO NOT NEED. If you want the items stay on and next to the chests
That's not my problem. My problem is other people using these to get rich. I'd rather dispose of the items to people who NEED it, not people who live off it.
That too! But these are also for people who may have a lot of members or can't afford such things yet. Remember, for some it is hard to make money.
Can people not go on the lwc forums and add wold you like any one else to access this chest? Or something like that using /cmodfiy instead of going for unlock?
That's a lot to me. For a guy who doesn't spend a whole lot of time on the server it's a lot. As I said, before;
Plus only original owners can apply for flags for towns. @oxwood2 This post was posted by the fabulous slayer_boy_2000. Feel honoured that this was posted! X D p.s This is a signature
First of all, it's theft. Second of all, it's abuse of the tp++ feature and lastly, it makes people angry. Just stop it.
What I've done in the past was let said people with the locks remain as a member of the town and box up the chests with a door that has been /cmodified for them. And a sign stating that it's modified as well as they may break into the room to gather their things if they would like. Not 100% sure if this is legal, some staff have let it slide in the past.
Yes, yes, and yes! I'm pretty sure it used to be abuse back in the day but they changed the rules for whatever reason. :/
People say that's the reason, but it's not. You get them out of the way, yes, but the stuff inside is what people want.
