I was just wondering, because I want to get the resident rank, what is the most efficient way of making money on the server (for a builder)? I know you can farm and mine, but what specifically is the most efficient? e.g. farm pumpkins, melons, etc... If you can give suggestions that'd be awesome, thanks!
Farming pumpkins would be better for you considering and eff 5 unbreaking 3 axe is around 8k, If you break it it's not much of a lose. However a melon sword is 300k+ and if lost or even getting it is a pain. farm some pumpkins, It will be easier at your point in time. Mining is also a good way of 20k/hr
Mining 20k an hour, what are you smoking! Mining makes 12k an hour on average and that is with fly and best tools, and long superbreaker.
I am a resident with 55k. That being said I only joined in early April. My way of money is voting, SURVAL GAMES, and Reed farming. Since reed farms are rare and voting is limited, survival games with a couple teammates assures a win of probably 2k a game . Split it with a teammate if they want a share
Ask anyone who mines, kuke will definitely tell you. Even if you find a good cave, still only going to make 16k an hour max. Straight line at layer 10-14 is 12k an hour on average I did a lot on this and worked it out, for suggestions I have made. You are just making a stubborn comment.
I would recommend buying a plot and making it into a wheat farm. Wheat is imo a fantastic place to start. It is worth quite a bit ($1.25/per) and it is easy to get ahold of the seeds to plant it and start from there.
My recommendations, As a builder, the best crop that you can farm would have to be wheat, as it makes the most money, and does not require an enchanted tool to work. If you could find a way, like by having your farm in a town, go off mining while the wheat is regrowing, and keep repeating until you reach 15k to buy resident. As a builder, I find that to be the most optimal way to make money, and as you rank up your options for making money expand, but to start off, a combination of wheat farming and mining seems to work well.

I also make 20k an hour mining. You must be doing something different. Before I got mcmmobonusplus x3 I was at 15k an hour though. I made a decimal place error - I actually only make 2k per hour. NVM
If you carry on I can tag kuke, to make 20k an hour you would have to be x-raying so re-check your figures. Unlike you I have actually tested and discussed it with kuke, multiple times.

That does sound a bit rude matty.. 20k an hour seems reasonable to me because of selling to players.. usernameofdeath's shop is a great place to sell EVERYTHING.

You simply cannot make that much unless people pay ridiculous money for you items. Also selling to player would count in the time so you would make a lot less than 20k.

I suggest fishing because you get EXP from it and fish are $10 each as of pumpkins and melons which don't give you as much money.
Mining only makes 10k per hour max (I can't do that though). It needs to be boosted. Let's make Coal $2 and Redstone $5 and Lapis $10.
the way that i make money is that i mined for a week and made 10k. then i bought a plot and lose 2k. then i used that plot as a storage place witch saved me 1k from not losing stuff. then i mined some more and made 3k. then i bought another plot an made it a tree farm for wood and got 2k. then i lost 10k from lotto. i made the tree farm into a storage wars and made 5k then i made a little choco farm and made 2k. then i changed the storage wars into a wheat/carrot/melon/pumpkin farm and made 5k . then i bought another plot and lost 3k .then i lost all that in lotto cause i wanted more money so i lost 13k. now i hav $746.14 cause im kool and farmed
