Hello, I'm SuburbSomeone. Do you want to rank up and get that fancy [President] tag and that orange name, but don't want your towns? There's a fast and easy way to do that. All you have to do is fill out a few simple forms! Step 1: Sign up for the Forums! The first thing you'll need to do is sign up for the forums, which I assume you already have done. If you haven't, there's a link to sign up in the top right corner . You'll need an e-mail to do so. Step 2: Sign up for the Builder Bonus and Resident! The next step is to apply for a "Builder Bonus" from @AdmiralD, who, along with other rich people @idkhowtoplay (a SuperModerator) and @wolfwoodnyo, will get you the money you need for the Resident rank. You'll also need to read a few basic articles on the wiki in order to complete the application. Just click this link to find the format: http://ecocitycraft.com/forum/threads/builder-bonus.130448/#post-705370. Once AdmiralD pays you the $15,000, you can apply for Resident at tinyurl.com/eccresapp. If you forget that link, just look for it in the Applications (Builders+) section, which is found near the bottom of the Forums list. All you'll need to do is say that you have $15,000, describe how you made $15,000 (which would be from AdmiralD's Builder Bonus in this case), and check two boxes . Just make sure you keep at least $15,000 in your in-game balance at all times. Step 3: Find someone to buy your Mayor and President towns! Once your Resident application is approved (which it almost always is), you're ready to go sell your towns! @wolfwoodnyo, who you might remember does part of the Builder Bonus, collects towns and strives to create the largest nation on ECC. She owns over 30 towns, and is always willing to buy even more! Just /pm wolfwoodnyo when she is on. If you can't get to @wolfwoodnyo, then you can look for other users who buy towns on the forums as well as advertise in-game. In the For Sale/Wanted/Feedback/Job Offers sub-forum, there may just be someone who's buying people Mayor, and maybe even President! President is rarer, as it costs $95,000 more for anyone to buy the town, but if they're like @wolfwoodnyo, then they'll take the hit. Note that you won't be able to apply for both at once- you have to be a Mayor in order to apply for President. Once the person you sell your town(s) to has made a contract, you reply with this form: and the contract is approved, you're nearly set! They'll give you the cost of the rank(s), and you'll be able to apply for them! Step 4: Apply for Mayor! Once the town transfer contract for Mayor is approved, you'll have to fill out an application for Mayor! Look in the Applications (Residents+) section in order to apply! The application for Mayor is a bit more complicated than Resident, but it's an important one . To check whether your town is in the Rising or Legacy world, use the command "/rg i p". If there is, in fact, a town called "P", then you are in Rising. If the town is not found, you are in Legacy. You'll also need to make sure to mark the boundaries of the town that you will sell with signs. Putting coordinates as well as the town name you are given will help immensely. If the user who buys towns from you wishes to put the town next to theirs, you'll need to state the towns within 15 blocks of yours as well as link the applications to each. Hopefully it won't be too hard - some users may even give you the filled out application format themselves! The format is found on the wiki, but I will post it here for you: GameAdmins will generally handle Mayor/President applications 1-4 times a day, so you shouldn't normally have to wait a week. Step 5: Apply for President! Applying for President works similarly to applying for Mayor, but you will need to name your nation as well as link your Mayor application and state your plans as a President on ECC. This name can be as unique as you want . Mine was Suburbia. I wonder why... Anyway, this is the President application: Ta-da! There's a new [President] in town, and it's you! Congratulations on ranking up without paying a cent!
