How do you acquire the land for a town? Just go out and claim it? Is that process outlined somewhere?
So basically yeah go find a untouched area usually over water now since most land areas are pretty much taken with some exemptions. And be sure to make sure that if there are other mayors nearby with towns that you get their approval if you don't want strife with them later on.
