What i did was apply for co-ownership of a farm, then I saved up for teleport and it was a lot easier and faster to make profit but it depends on what YOU want to do. Features can help some ways of making money easier than others.
I actually got water first, then teleport quite a while later. And of all features, I got multihome as my most recent (~8 months ago).
