    It doesn't say I can update to minecraft 1.4.2 so I try'd to re-install it but that doesn't work to. :(

    Find your .minecraft folder. Delete it.

    If that doesn't work, then re install it from minecraft.net.

    Try deleting your bin folder in the .minecraft folder. Then log in again and it should redownload the files.

    Type %appdata% in to your window search bar or run box to access the .minecraft.

    Nevermind! I just needed to delete the .minecraft and then re-install it

    Okay, well you would have lost your single player saves if you deleted the .minecraft, hope this isn't a problem.
