I have the same problem as @GoatsRMyLife has posted here: https://www.ecocitycraft.com/forum/threads/squidhq-questions.155895/page-3#post-869616 The same message pops up and I am not able to get onto squidHQ at all. He has said he went on a different computer and it worked.. I don't have another computer to go on. I have clicked on fix this problem tried everything and still hasn't worked. Any resolutions?
I am also having the problem that @GoatsRMyLife and @_NIAGARA_ are having. Clicking "Fix The Problem" button takes you to this page: http://hopper.minecraft.net/help/pixel-format-not-accelerated/ which states: Causes Graphics drivers are outdated, they do not support required OpenGL support to run Minecraft. Invalid memory allocation, if you set any Java arguments in your Profile Settings, please remove them. On Windows 10, driver updates are automatically installed on your PC whereas previously they were optional. Sometimes the drivers obtained through Windows Update may not contain the proper OpenGL required for Minecraft. You should in this case update your PC's graphics driver as explained below. On first- and second- generation Intel HD graphics chipsets, a Java version below 8u60 is needed on Windows 10. The new Minecraft launcher available on minecraft.net/download as a .MSI should automatically resolve issues on these chipsets. So far I have tried everything but the last step, installing an old java which seems like a headache. Hoping Squid gets updated sometime before blacklist day to just "automatically resolve issues on these chipsets."
If it doesn't happen with the default launcher then it shouldn't with the new launcher. The fact that it does makes it a bug. A bug in SquidHQ.
Yusss! I solved it. I noticed in the launcher logs that the default launcher was using Java version 1.8.0_25 while Squid wanted to use 1.8.0_73, which is incompatible with my chipset. You can tell the launcher what version of java to use. Here's how I did it. Open your default Minecraft Launcher Click Edit Profile on the bottom left. At the bottom in Java Settings (Advanced) check the "Executable" box Copy the location, mine was "C:\Program Files (x86)\Minecraft\runtime\jre-x64\1.8.0_25\bin\javaw.exe" Uncheck that box to leave things as they were. Click Cancel and close minecraft launcher. Open SquidHQ Launcher I made a new Profile for SquidHQ by clicking New Profile otherwise click edit profile. At the bottom in Java Settings (Advanced) check the "Executable" box Paste the location you copied from the default launcher. Click Save Profile Play! Hoping this works for anyone else having this problem.
All I did was just de activate Windows Defender long enough to d/l. It pretty much installed itself, so I hope it works okay.
