Everyone on ECC has probably used their Forum Bank Account. However, Lets say that a sportsbook game is listed. You have 0 in your forum bank. You want to bet your whole balance. However, you are in Saudi Arabia on a trip, where you do not have access to a computer. (This happened to me). With this being said, I am recommending that the forum bank would have a withdraw from account option so that you could transfer in-game money to your forum bank... Thanks
Step 1) Download mine chat Step 2) Log into ECC Step 3) /bank deposit <balance> Step 4) log off mine chat
Unfortunately minechat is not available for all devices. The main problem with this suggestion, though, is that (I think) it would be a bit tricky to implement something like this: if I'm not mistaken, I recall Jamie once said something along "implementing forum tools having direct effects on the MC server would be a severe mess". Or something like that. MC server tools having consequences on the forum, though, are ok (i.e: /deposit and /withdraw commands are ok) But this might just be a fantasy of my wrinkled brain.
I have zero knowledge of the code behind the server plugin or xenForo addon - however, if I recall correctly it was originally mentioned that a lot of work went into this project. Now, we basically have the choice between investing a lot of time once again or following a simple step to fix this problem. /bank deposit before departing. You should never have to travel abroad without at least an advance notice of any kind, therefore you should have enough time to prepare for it. If you don't use that time because you have other priorities... that's basically your fault (or it's not important enough for you to matter) and not really something that should be focused on at this point.
1) What's the minimum staff rank to edit money ingame and on forum and 2) how long would it take for such a staff member to manually move money from server to forum upon request? If both these questions have a reasonable answer, maybe this could be solved by staff handling it time by time, instead of massively putting hands on plugins and shit. (if overuse is feared, maybe add a fee)
Sadly, due to how our system works, we cannot do this due to a possible major security flaw that would be created.
