Not sure of the proper place to post this...but if I already own a town, and I want to become the original owner when the original owner has not been online and is inactive, would that be a Town Claim or a Town Transfer?
If the owner hasn't been on for 6+ months or is perma-banned, a town claim can be used. This would be the case with your town. If the owner wants to transfer their town to you, then you would have to be a President, and had to have signed a transfer contract so that you could file a Town Transfer. You'll need to be a President+ no matter what if you want to own the town, as you'd have to transfer a town to you once you pay for a town claim.
If you want to become the original owner and the current original owner is inactive, you have a few choices: 1. Buy a Town Claim and then Buy a Town Transfer to obtain the Town from the Claimee This method would cost 250k + Buying a Town Claim (150kish) = 400k 2. Rank up to Tycoon and use your own Town Claim to obtain the town This method would cost 85k (Mayor) + 180k (President) + 500k (Tycoon) = 765k This method would get you 2 towns as well though 3. Get in contact with the original owner and Town Transfer the town to your ownership This method would cost 250k + However much to buy the town from owner = 250k+ ---- Any way, I wish you luck in obtain a town. For you it would be easier to rank up to Mayor and start your own town
@Mission001 I already own the town in question. Therefore a town claim would seem irrelevant. But the original owner is not available to complete a Town Transfer application...do you see my dilemma? If a Town Claim does not inherently confer original ownership (as it does not)...is it possible to get original ownership?? Or would an "official" ex-owner be sufficient... For the record, I also own 4 towns and a spawnshops...so please ignore the deceiving resident color. I have it cuz i'm waiting to use my placeable towns in a spot where I already own a few immoveable towns.
A town claim does confer original ownership, given you're the one claiming. It's possible to pay a tycoon+ to claim it for you, and then to transfer it. Giving you original(official) ownership. Or you could just get tycoon yourself. And since the owner of the town you want is inactive you can't transfer it. Meaning you're limited to the 2 options I just stated. (the same ones mission stated earlier) Aside from town claims and town transfers, there is absolutely no way to change the original owner of a town.
