I don't have key bind "toss" set up, so there wasn't anyway I was going to toss it. I was organizing a chest and once I got out of it, I instantly saw that my magic bow was missing. Then being in confusion I lost connection, so I joined back and I went ahead and looked at the chest, I was organizing again to see if I mistakenly moved it over but didn't so I looked in all the other chests I just finished organizing, as well as /ec and /pv's and was no where to be found. Which then put my to my last resort and I asked for tool hunter support. Thankfully @Nessie69 was able to look it up for me, thank you so much <3 but under his investigation it stated that it didn't de-spawn. I was advised to move something in my inventory but it still didn't pop up, restarted my launcher, and it still wasn't there. I'm so sorry for the bother :C The Tool ID is: #M3ZYRUUX My magic bow was next to my shovel
UPDATE: I found the shovel in my PV 6 https://prnt.sc/wN961XK7QqFM Okay now I'm getting a little bit scared.. but um I moved my star shovel (tool ID: #M367KKX8) to where I would have my magic bow in my hot bar would be and I just finished selling some dragon breath to restiv at /warp miyako and I was looking on forum and looked at my screen and noticed now my shovel is missing. Partnered again with @Nessie69 and thankfully it doesn't say it de-spawned either..
@AriLiMeli has recently found the Shovel in her PlayerVault #7 and her Bow in her PlayerVault #10. She asked me to check ToolSearch to see if there was any clear evidence as to what happened, she stated she had went through the vaults multiple times and yet couldn't see any of the 2 tools there until today. Between 15/05 and 18/05 there were no logs for either of the tools (the date they "disappeared" and the date the "reappeared"). Seems to have been just a small visual glitch in regards to this case specifically, both tools have appeared.
Would be weird for a visual glitch to be the cause of the tool tracker losing the item, seeing as they were in Player Vaults and the tool tracker never saw them get placed there.
I am not 100% familiar with what happened in this bug report but it looks like /toolsearch is a bit bugged. Example: https://ibb.co/s97BG3rT My mythic (#M2MLTYRE) was logged by /toolsearch as being moved into PV #1 when I had actually already taken it out. At this point, I moved my mythic into PV #2, and took it out. Example: https://ibb.co/xKFwf2sB My mythic was never logged by /toolsearch as leaving PV #1, nor does it have a record of entering PV #2 -- only it being taken out of PV #2. I thought I had experienced issues in the past similar to this (re: items not being logged correctly with /toolsearch) but didn't think twice about it. But all in all, I think there's something odd going on with /toolsearch, PVs, and TBs (which is also affected by this lack of logging). I'm also unfamiliar if this is intentional messaging to the user -- if it is, it's a bit difficult to understand. I think the change happened sometime between March and the time this bug report was made -- another one of my owned tools, #M23YVIH6 sat in my /tb for quite some time, and today I took it out -- I see that it was placed in my TB on 3/10, and taken out today (5/28). Here I am missing a message like you have that says "Moved item into Vault #1" and it skips right to moving an item out of Vault #1. i.e. there is no record of me moving the item into PV #1. I think you get the understanding of how I'm reproducing it, I'm just not sure why yours is looking different than mine. I am on a fresh login (didn't change worlds, didn't change server or anything, stayed in Rising for both occasions). I'm not sure if you get different messages because of perms -- if you want to toss the own ID you used for your check I can see if I see the same.
