In the past few weeks I've been extremely laggy, and because of this I get a lot of block lag. This means I can't mine, farm, build or demolish buildings without having to break each blocks multiple times when it gets really bad. It also means I get kicked a lot as anticheat thinks I'm fastbreaking, I was wondering if there is anything I can do as it's sort of frustrating barely being able to build ;-;
I too have been experiencing a lot of rubber banding and getting kicked by anti cheat for "unexpected movement"??? Just got new comp and faster internet so why? Sorry not sure if totally related but figured similar enough for the the thread
I can't get better internet where I am unfortunately (Australia). It may be a coincedence but I started lagging much more with the new anticheat, and now with the server move it got worse. I'm just trying to figure out if there is anything at all that I can do to improve the situation.
This is the same for me also. It was working fine after the host change but ever since the downtime it has been lagging a lot more for me.
This never happens to me, and I thought I had bad wifi.... I do lag when cocoa farming, but I haven't experienced that since my previous server was about to shut down and reset
Can you check your ping somehow? Because I'm pretty sure my ping is tops and this only started happening after anti-cheat. I mean I can live flying with speed 4 for now that's fine but ideally down the line the rubberbanding + getting kicked by anti-cheat for "unexpected movement" above level speed 5 flying would stop.
@265 @oootopia As you probs kno, we had a host change recently. This change would mean that people in Canada and the US will get better ping than other countires/regions, in this case, Aussie. Also to make things worse, AAC (Advanced Anti-Cheat) was also recently added, and many bugs have been found that cause major lag. For example I recently found the .58 speed glitch (reported on bugs page) which causes Major rubberbanding, and also kicks you. To anyone who found their Ping increased, keep in mind ECC had their host changed, so depending on where you live, you just happened to be in a location that can receive the ping better.
As far as I'm concerned, the only way to fix this lag (besides moving to a different country) is to have good internet connection, a decent-great laptop/pc, and report glitches so developers can work on them Faster, and relieve the servers of lag.
I live in the ideal country ping wise, I believe, I have a slammin' new computer, fastest internet connection available so consider this a glitch report from me too. Or should I make another one and clog the forum? I assume if the devs won't listen to @265 they're not gonna believe me.
The farther you are from the server, which is hosted on the East Coast of the United States in Canada, the more ping in terms of 'ms' you will have. Thus, this affects how fast your player actions are synchronized with the server.
