Hello everybody, after convincing my parents to buy fly for me we tried with paypal. But every time we select it it redirects to paypal credit cards. My parents have a paypal account that takes money directly from the bank account, and they don't want to register a paypal credit card only to pay an additional transaction fee. My question is: Is ECC paypal only working with credit cards, or does the direct transaction work, too? And how? Thanks for any possible help! EDIT: List of current problems... It allows, but when my parents do it instantly asks them to create a paypal-connected credit card instead of using direct bank transfer.
You'll have to do the following: Within paypal.com; Bank -> Paypal Account. Then on ecc Paypal -> ECC
If this does not work, an alternative (which you would need to arrange) would be to send the money to [email protected] and send a PM to andrewkm, stating that you have sent the donation money. However, I would ask him BEFORE you send the money via this method, to confirm that it would be okay.
That would require andrew to approve it, and input it manually, which he may not do. But yes, this is an alternative. You would still have to do transfer the money into the paypal account for this to work.

No, through the Paypal website you can send direct bank transfers to certain e-mails, such as [email protected]
@JamieSinn I tried your method, but I already failed at the beginning... I couldn't find the tab "Bank" on paypal. (Using the german interface, but I didn't even find anything similar to that) "Then on ecc" means that I should select paypal in the ECC shop? And what do you mean with "Paypal -> ECC" then?
Since your paypal account is linked to your credit card, you can pay through that. However if the total amount of purchases in the account exceeds 300 USD, you will need to verify with your bank account, The alternative is either to use google wallet or manually input your credit card information.
@MCHelix3000 It is linked with the credit card? Automatically? Until now - and still on other shops - it is possible to pay via direct bank transfer without any credit card (Costs an additional fee for credit card). Is this impossible on ECC?
This is impossible on ECC as you would need your credit card information. Unless you would like to link your bank account to your paypal account. That is an option as well.
As far as I know the account IS linked. We are normally able to do transfers by direct bank access without the need to put a credit card inbetween.
I'd appreciate it if you didn't spout complete nonsense. ECC does support bank transfers, as long as those transfer go through paypal. Just because there are problems with 314's account doesn't mean ECC doesn't support it altogether. 314, are you certain the bank account is properly linked to the paypal account? And also make sure your bank account supports automatic payment collection (or automatic debit, or just debit. (should be "Soll" in German)) You can check if it's linked by hovering over the profile tab and clicking on the "add or remove bank account". Make sure the correct bank account is in there and if it's verified. (verified means automatic debit works and that you can pay through paypal)
Ah, thanks. Will try when my parents come home this evening! I assume it is linked. So far multiple direct bank transactions have worked, ans also it's the current bank account linked. We will check today, too!
