Hello EcoCityCraft. I have recently been searching for a really good graphics card for my laptop. Here are the specifications; please suggest what graphics card I should get. HP Envy dv7 Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3630QM CPU @ 2.40GHz 2.40 GHz Installed memory (RAM): 8.00 GB (7.89 GB usable) 64-bit Operating System, x64 based processor Graphics Card: Intel(TM) HD Graphics 4000
You can't really get a graphics card for your laptop. If you can, you're really lucky xD I know intel HD 4000 is pretty good in desktops, but I have no idea about laptops.
You'll be really lucky if you find one that can be put into your laptop. On top of this, it is apparently a long and tedious process.
Laptops gpus are soldered to the board, therefore impossible to change, you are better off getting a new computer.
If you're going to put the money into your laptop, might as well put it into a desktop computer. They aren't that expensive and you can always upgrade them. Use the laptop you have now as a last resort. This is my opinion.
Its a custom rig, not something that you can get easily. You do require a significant amount of hardware know how to make one too. Honestly, a desktop is the best option for you.
