I totally forgot about Minecraft, and therefore ECC Minecraft server, since about school started and have rarely got on. Today remembering Minecraft, to my absolute terror, realized that I haven't been on ECC so long that I remembered the rules of some of my towns stating to notify the mayor(s) if I will be off for -I cant remember- how long. Certainly I have been off for over 14 days, which as I remember was the maximum for any of the town rules for the towns I live in. To my dismay, this could lead to me seeing that my house is removed in one of the towns that I live in. Once finding that my last logout had been even up to a month ago, I tried to log in to ECC but finding that my computer simply is refusing to log in, I am shocked. The Minecraft window doesn't say "(Not Responding)", and I have tried to restart it. I have even gone to restarting the computer, but than again with no change in luck. Moderators: If possible please contact Andrew and tell him to try to backup my players.dat file in case it gets reset (according to the server file cleanup policy) although there is nothing I can do about it by logging on. Also if my houses are not already gone, please contact my town owners telling them I will be on ASAP once I get the problem fixed. Minecraft sat on the desktop saying "Logging in..." this whole time I typed this, just another failed attempt.
Andrew can't backup your .dat file. As for contacting town owners of towns you are in... Best PM them on the forums. As well, there is no way for us to tell which towns you are in. Make sure to see if Mojang servers are up (http://xpaw.ru/mcstatus/) and that you have a solid internet connection. Try another computer, too, such as a library computer.
I updated to 7.0.2 I am under so much pressure it's probably best if I get money so my .dat file isn't destroyed and then lock up my stuff in a secret place. Then I delete minecraft and the bin. I then put a web blocker up so I can't go to minecraft.net to reinstall it. Then I make a virus so my computer will crash if minecraft.exe is installed via mobile storage. Then I uninstall my operating system. Then I smash the computer with a hammer and burn the pieces which I then throw into orbit to be scattered throughout the moon. Then I buy another computer and help my friend with the game we're making, BuildWars, which was originally going to be called TeamWars but couldn't be because of copyright laws.
Um, how about no lol. The reason you can't get back on the server is that you're not using the right version of Minecraft, as the game updated recently but the server still hasn't. The correct version to play on ECC is 1.6.4, not 1.7.2. It's a simple process to downgrade now (it literally only takes 30 seconds) and I advise that you google how to downgrade minecraft to 1.6.4. I'd give you instructions how but I'm on my phone . Good luck getting back on the server!
I would advise against trying this as I am sure you would be breaking some laws if you were successful. http://www.ecfr.gov/cgi-bin/text-idx?c=ecfr&rgn=div5&view=text&node=14:2.0.1.3.15&idno=14
I'm using the 1.7.2 update. I even tried playing in a separate directory and everything. Nothing works! The application doesn't freeze nor say outdated client or server. Just "Logging In...".
