People of ecc for some reason everytime i play minecraft my computer always shuts off about 10-30min without asking me. I have not tested this on other servers yet but I soon will. Here is a list of what i done already 1. Fix in game settings 2.Delete my maps and server ips 3. re download minecraft 4. yell at my computer And none of these things are working And what i mean by turn off is: When it is at small window,midwindow,full screen my computer becomes greay and the fan is still running i hear it. But when I try presing f11 home del or esc or ctrl alt del nothing seems to work. So if this happend to you before and you fixed this pls tell me coz i am P!$$ED off with this.
The symptoms you have mentioned suggest that this doesn't have to do with minecraft, and that your computer is malfunctioning.
Are you running a video card in your computer, or are you using on board video (plugging video in near power supply, mouse, keyboard, etc)?
Have you tried another game to ensure it is not a hardware issue, like CPU overheating, faulty memory address developed etc, if just on Minecraft, and same behaviour on other servers as well, try re-installing latest Java - although a Java crash normally just crashes you out the game. A total system crash may indicate some other broader issue than just Minecraft.
What I'm guessing is he has a faulty charger. @hilv Is your laptop toshiba brand? They tend to have cheap chargers.
@hilv try lowering the priority of minecraft: 1. open minecraft 2. Search for windows task manager 3. look for javaw.exe *32 (under the subheading proccesses) ((EDIT: look for the one tht is using cpu when u open mc)) 4. right click tht and select "Set priority" 5. change it to below normal or low OR when you open your minecraft launcher: 1. click edit profile 2. then change the jvm argument to: -Xmx700M 3. save profile and play hope this helps
If his charger was bad the fan wouldn't run with no video. @hilv Try using a laptop cooler. Laptop video isn't meant to run games and gets extremely hot and will overheat and cause it to stop working until it cools off.
Minecraft can be somewhat intensive. What sort of computer are you using, is it a laptop? Is your computer getting very hot? I know my computer can generate quite a bit of heat when running minecraft. It seems that it can be quite resource intensive at times.
My friends laptop turns off whenever he unplugs it from the charger, no matter how much charge it has, try leaving it charging
So, you play, and your computer shuts off. Shuts off how? Like, screen goes black? or the entire thing just goes *poof*?
It sounds to me like your fan is malfunctioning/disconnected from your system, and therefore your computer is shutting off to prevent overheating/data damage. I suggest you contact the support website for your computer.
I had the exact same problem on my laptop. Get the fan cleaned out of dust and dirt and it.will perform much better
