So let me start off by saying this, I'm taking a break from ECC. But why is this really that important? Well let me start off by saying when i joined, Juanuary 3rd, 2012, I've played at least 4+ hours a day while the server was online. That's about 2050 hours of online time, But when I was a mod, around 7-10 hours+ a day. That's just a minimum. So, after a year and 5 months, nearly 6, I'm taking my first break. But for the question, have you ever taken a break? For how long was it if so and what did you do in the meantime?

As some of you may know me I left Ecc a while ago when i got scammed for half of what I own (600k) for 250 usd of donations, I dont think I am allowed to say who but ecc veterans might remember this person. I left for about 4 months I think and recently came back and now I have that drive to play just like I did when I first joined. Glack, take a break.
Yes, I take short breaks regularly. Every once in a while I'll just drop off for 3-7 days. Minimal server play, maybe a few minutes, maybe none. Minimal forum time. I'll just play another game. Then after a few days ECC will rise back into interest and I'll play again.
I just play until I get bored/tired of playing. Take your time, don't set a "I'm coming back" date or try to get banned. Just play til you're sick of it, then go play/do something else. I've taken several short breaks and one long one. Longest I was off was probably.. 2 or 3 months? I'd still jump on from time to time, but was in no way active. I feel myself going into one of those times now, so I'm probably going to start digging through the games in my Steam library I've been neglecting (Psychonauts anyone?)
Kinda the way I do it. Sometimes, truthfully, ECC gets old...and then i find some other game I haven't played in a while and it becomes awesome. So i play it for a few days with minimal ECC. Then ECC floats back into interest, and the other one grows old, so i come back.
I'm getting "Donkey Kong Country Returns" for the 3DS today! But I don't plan to take a break from ECC... I'm just gonna carve out a little time for DK & Diddy. (Having a great alternative will be especially useful if we have any more unexpected server outages like the one we suffered last night )
I took a 4 month break from january to april in 2012. I took another 4 month break from november to march in 2012/2013. Breaks always end up being amazing, but then you eventually come back.
That's the one thing I love most about this server. Things are always changing leaving it really difficult to lose interest. Even if I try to do something else, I am always drawn back to here. I don't think I have ever really taken a break, and don't intend to any time soon.
I remember a resident, about 10 months ago, I lost interest from about all of July, then as a mayor I would play for a while than take a break, but from then to about December I would play for a while, then take a break.
I've taken a months break I have to say , I enjoyed life and instead If always having ecc in mind I could focus on other things , breaks are good and I believe that we should all ave 1 once in a while Kk cya now ! -Icon
I have, for the first time, i took a break. i joined dec. 2011 and this break was about a week or two ago. ^.^
