Hey, blowtube123 here! I was thinking... don't we want ECC to grow? Well I have a great idea! What if we had another world for an "Easier" economy? (By "Easier" I mean blocks that are worth more.) A world where money is easier to get, but money and blocks do not transfer over to our "Hardcore" economy world? The purpose of this world would be to show more players for our economy works. As you get further into the game and possibly go to the "Hardcore" economy area, the economy would just keep getting harder and harder. I know that this would be a ginormous task, but I do believe it could definitely increase I player count. Which may increase our votes and rank us up to the top?!?!?
Hardcore economy is just a tag for the server. If you could make money easier but we would lose them quicker as the would have everything they wanted so much quicker. People quit because they get everything, do you really want people quitting quicker. You say this would raise player count, why? People want something challenging not somewhere easy to make money. I don't quite understand the logistics but are you saying the money transfers over... I don't think the server needs a higher player count we get 300/300 at prime time.
I feel that, even if we were to gain another 100+ users a day from this, this would divide the community up. Which would in a sense cut our population in half. Plus, like other users before have already said. If you put your mind to it, you can earn money rather quickly. Prime example: It took me about a week to get mayor. Not to mention, I believe I saw a player who joined last friday and is already a mayor.
I think more people would go to the easier economy, because its easier to make money! this would take the hardcore economy almost out of the picture. This is not a good idea. -1 It would greatly divide our community
I wasn't saying I wanted more. He had stated that this would pull more users into the server. I was stating that even if 100+ members joined, it would still divide our community up. Not to mention, I never said anything about raising the player limit higher than what it is at now.
