hey guys and girls of ECC, i used to play on this server alot between 12-18 months ago with a few friends and it seemed to be really active by a lot more people. They were roughly 500 people on at any one time, now we range from 50-150 max. ECC was and still is by far the best minecraft economy server but we all need to chip in to help raise more awareness of ECC and make it become the place that it used to be! If everyone who reads this thread comments with their suggestion and we can see if we can get some more implemented and bring the economy and server back to the place it used to be! Ill create a Poll at the top of this post with the main suggestions and could people please just like the individual suggestion rather then saying +1 as this would be easier to track! hope we can all help get ECC back to its former glory! Good luck team! Lowndsy2011
I like it where it is at 100 to 120 max it makes it so you don't have to be tycoon and up to be heard by someone. If there is over 500 people builders just wont stay because we don't need them at that point.
yeah but the more people on the server means all money is put back into the server making the economy better and then making it more fun for everyone
arent you bothered about having a great server with loads of input from people and the market back to being full and a booming economy?
Honestly loads of things could be done, but it WILL take time. For now, us normal users can focus on assisting new players and helping them get settled in. Long term, we need to be patient and wait and see what happens as things progress.
Firstly, ECC has never had 500 players on a time. After looking at various server stats, it appears ECC has had roughly 450 players at it's all-time peak in 2012-2013. And from seeing videos, it appeared that actually 300 players on a time was the usual number. And, no. We don't range from 50-150 max. I've seen about 170 players on a time a couple weeks ago. Now, I'd say nerfing kits and removing some donation features (water, for the msot part) would get more players to stay. I see many players complain in global about kits or having to pay to place water. However, if you actually want to get more players on at once, there's one thing that will always do the trick: Advertising. Advertising has been always very successful at bringing newer players, and we dont even have to pay thousands of dollars to get on the front page of the minecraft server list. We can simply get more players by adding back voting sites that were effective, such as the planet minecraft one. And there's also one plan that might as well get many more players. Supposedly in the Summer of 2015 (sometime now) ECC is going to launch the hub, which will connect the main economy/towns server with many other servers such as skyblock and creative.
First of all there is rarely more than 150 players, which I think was his point. Secondly, sure advertising will BRING players to the server, but what about making them stay? Often sg causes new players to leave, so that's one thing. Second the hub isn't very user friendly, in my opinion.
Yes, it's rarely 150+ players, but sometimes it is. And there's no guarantee players will stay either way. As for the hub, yes it's not user friendly, but it's what every server which is much more larger than ECC is doing, and it can attract a wider range of players with more interest else than economy. As for SG, i've advocated nerfing/removing kits, mostly the OP ones, however there will always be the selfish few who will want their own interests more than the community.
