Crazy he got his suspension lifted, apparently you can get away with cheating in the NFL as the Patriots have done many times. The Patriots franchise and Tom Brady will ALWAYS have an asterisk next to their name.

    Also, go Seahawks!

No need for debate but like the judge said his punishment didn't fit a crime that was more likely than not him. Also many people want to bring up kicking balls in which tom would have nothing to do with and if anyone that isn't a Pats fan actually kept up with it all you would realize deflated balls have been an issue before and no consequences before. So we could debate it all day but this is in celebration of Tom

The deflate gate suspension could have been a false one imo. Everyone who knows football knows that Brady likes to have a good grip on his balls (Just read that and it sounds so wrong haha). In knowing this the patriots organization could have requested that the balls used in the game have the absolute minimum air pressure allowed. The weather conditions on the day of the game would have made the balls' air pressure drop, causing them to be be below he league limit. Just my logical 2 cents :p

God I have never liked the New England Patriots team one bit. They're my least favorite team, even worse than the Broncos, always have been, and it looks like they will be for quite a long time. They have a tough history with myself and a large number of hardcore Chargers fans, and it's not just the whole Deflategate thing.

First it was the Patriots @ Chargers in the AFC Divisional Playoffs back in 2006. I know that was quite a while ago, but at this point I was first beginning to get into football, and this is one of the first games I still remember - one of the toughest losses for the then-14-and-2 Chargers ever. The Patriots may have outperformed the Chargers that day, but I still remember when some Patriots players came out onto the field and started doing the Shawn Merriman "Lights Out" dance. This was highly unsportmanlike and so unclassy, and that started the fire for me with the Patriots. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/playoffs06/news/story?id=2731727

In the ensuing seasons, the Chargers' yearly records dipped slowly, while the Patriots remained strong. I remember back in 2010 when the Patriots went 16-0 in the regular season and made it to the Super Bowl, but they were reported to have stolen plays from the New York Jets' playbook. I don't remember a lot about that, but I remember something was fishy with the Patriots managers and such. When the time came to face the Giants, I and most of my friends were thrilled when the stuck-up Patriots fell 17-14 in the game (thank you David Tyree for that helmet catch).

By now, the Chargers were a mediocre team, and at 9-7 and 8-8 they were beginning to miss the Playoffs. Bill Belichick (about time I mention him) continued to lead his team to victory after victory, playoff game after playoff game, championship after championship. And after every major loss, Belichick continued to decline interviews, throw on his hoodie, cross his arms, and pout his way off the field. This was unacceptable for a head coach who's probably making millions upon millions of dollars anyway. Not to mention the players - Tom Brady and several other players, like LeGarrate Blount, continued to show poor sportsmanship. Back in the 2012 playoffs, the Patriots lost to the Ravens in the playoffs, and once again, Mr. Belichick declined an interview with CBS after the game - when reporter Shannon Sharpe delivered his little 30-second spiel about his thoughts on the coach's response, I remember everyone in front of my TV standing up, cheering, and rewinding the DVR just to experience the glory of Belichick being told what he needed to on live TV.

A couple years later, the Patriots reached the championship and defeated the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl XLIX. Looking back, it was the Hawks' fault for losing that game in the end (see http://www.ecocitycraft.com/forum/threads/super-bowl-rage.117430/) but what we've still been discussing is the events of the previous game: Colts @ Patriots for the 2014 AFC Championship. Here's my take on that whole thing, commonly known as "Deflategate" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deflategate).

Something had to be up with those footballs that day. I'm not a conspiracy theorist, and I don't know all the details of the entire thing (I'm not Ted Wells, after all). But the fact that rumors were spread about deflated balls and how the investigations were dragged out for so long... something must be fishy. After having read some scientific, some informational, some other articles about the whole thing, I do believe that Tom Brady's suspension was well deserved. The $1mil fine for the Patriots... that amount of money is like a chocolate bar to a NFL organization. Still though, Tom Brady has proven to me that I can't believe him when he says he has nothing to do with the deflated balls. Tom Brady has quite the history in my book, and this really puts the icing on the cake for me... he was the one throwing the Patriots' footballs that day. It was about time that something had to be done, and a nice 4-game suspension was pretty good in my opinion.

I heard this morning that Brady's suspension was nixed. Wow... just wow. I figured that the NFL would do something about his effort to appeal, maybe cut the suspension to two games? But just scrapping the whole thing is helping a professional football team with a history of poor sportsmanship, sore losing, and potential cheating in a couple of cases (Deflategate the most significant) gain confidence that they can still - maybe not 100% cleanly, but to some extent - get away with their behavior.

I have yet to look into several reliable sources to hear more about the nullification of the suspension. For now, however, I wish all the NFL teams the best of luck this coming season and I look forward to seeing the Chargers and other teams play. With three fantasy football leagues, the new ECC sportsbook, and an exciting San Diego Chargers schedule this season, I for one have a good amount to look forward to. But when the day comes that we meet New England in a game once again - sorry Patriots fans, I'm not much of a grudge-holder but this one isn't going away for quite some time.

    Yours truly,

    @ChargerBoltz5

**EDIT** Shouldn't this also be in the off-topic section?

There's no proof of that. Since the NFL had rights to look at his phone they could have easily went to his provider and asked for his message and call logs, and I'm sure they did. Notice how the suspension was lifted after the investigation as well...

@mods plz lock dis thread. It is a touchy subject in my opinion. Also it shows a negative mentally to have that u can cheat and get away with things. Allowing this thread to stay open is like encouraging people to CHEAT and telling them will get away with it. If this thread is left open I think we should just post on the voting sites WE WANT CHEATERS AND HACKERS!!! That is y this thread needs locking. Stop cheating and #BANBRADY4LIFE

    From the almighty wikipedia:
Calcium chloride is the ionic compound of calcium and chlorine. It is a salt that behaves as a typical ionic halide, being solid at room temperature and highly soluble in water. Common applications include brine for refrigeration plants, ice and dust control on roads, and desiccation.

I believe you would be quite sick if you had Calcium Chloride in your system. Now, if you had Sodium Chloride, that's just table salt, so you'll be fine.

    TL;DR It's Sodium Chloride.

Reports went from 11 of 12 balls being deflated to 2 balls being deflated. Bradys phone went from being destroyed before his investigation to after the investigation. Mods can lock this when someone actually provides factual evidence that Tom was in fact the person who deflated the ball or factual evidence that he had knowledge of it

@ChargerBoltz5 Why does Brady have a history? Deflategate is the only thing to attempt to disprove his integrity of the game and they still have yet to provide factual evidence. Their whole case was a load of words not allowed here. You cant go from 11 of 12 balls to 2 balls being deflated.

Also poor sportsmanship... That is in almost every team. For example, Sergio Brown from the Colts (the team who got salty about balls), Sergio was being very unsportsmanlike the whole game. Pats vs Seahawks in the Super Bowl the Seahawks started punching Patriots. Did they fight back yes but when you are getting hit by 3 people tell me you would just take it

I'm saying that in my book Brady and the entire patriots team has a bad rep. They've been involved in a few questionable events now (play-stealing, deflategate, etc.) and while we may never know about some of these, the fact that they have been involved in these isn't good. Plus, the patriots have shown poor sportsmanship time and time again, as I stated in my rant up there... Yes, being someone who was rooting for the Seahawks in the super bowl last year, I still thought their behavior at the end of the game was unacceptable, but for me, the Patriots have quite the archive of unsportsmanship, primarily from Belichick and Brady.

I'm sorry but it is Calcium chloride because that is what is used to melt ice on the road but it just can't seem to melt the COLD HARD FACTS THAT BRADY IS A CHEATER

    TL;DR It's Calcium Chloride.
