Today I have been having random chunks despawning and appearing. Almost like they are flickering on and off. It happens too fast to get a screenshot of it. Also been having the issue of invisible blocks. While building my skyscraper glass and whole corners of the tower would vanish but I could still walk on them. This would usually go away with logging off and back on. I tried a full restart of my pc and didn't help. Here are some screenshots of it happening: Right now I am standing on glass but it isn't there. There is supposed to be glass in front of me but you can't see it. You can see the black outline showing that there is a block there. This whole corner of the tower just disappeared. Update: I thought that my recently installed Optifine could be causing this issue. I tested minecraft without optifine and I got the same results. I'm supposed to be standing on a grass block and there is glass to the left of me that isn't showing up. Second Update: I found that if you step on a stone pressure plate it makes the whole chunk go invisible. Here is a picture of me stepping onto a pressure plate and making the chunk disappear. You can see in the top left hand corner where the chunk next to it is unaffected.
Issue Solved For whatever reason when I installed Optifine it bugged out my chunks. When I used a different loadout that did not have optifine in it, it still bugged out my chunks. What I had to do was delete the folder in my Versions folder of minecraft with Optifine in it. Cleared the issue of chunks buggin out but not why optifine didn't work in the first place.
