WELCOME TO FREETOWN! /warp freetown Tired of the rules, building codes, and flatness of other towns? Freetown is the place for you! With most of the natural features left intact, Freetown allows you to use the geography of your plot to your advantage. Aside from server rules prohibiting inappropriate builds, you can do whatever you want on your plot! That's right, no build limits and no prohibited materials, so reach for the stars and build basements galore! The purpose of this town is to cultivate a community-driven, organically developed place like no other on EcoCityCraft. That being said, we do have rules: 1. No griefing whatsoever. This means not altering other people's blocks or structures without their permission. Roads, farms, plot outlines, town outlines, and other public amenities aren't yours, by the way. 2. No theft whatsoever. This means not taking anything that isn't yours. 3. Replant all public farms that you use. Failure to do so constitutes grief. If this occurs as a result of you sharing the password with people that are not supposed to have it, you will be held responsible. 4. Don't build in the 15-block space around the town, that is our zoning area. The borders of our town are indicated by the acacia plank outline. 5. You need a plot before you can build in town, and you cannot build on plots that aren't yours. Doing otherwise is griefing. 6. Remember to follow all server rules. Know that you are responsible for your actions and your account. If you break any rules, you will be evicted and given 3 days to leave. If you get banned, your plot will be auctioned off to the highest bidder, all your locks in town will be removed, and your belongings will be returned to you once you return. If you get permabanned and your appeal is not accepted, your belongings will be mine to decide what to do with (probably either keep or sell). Now for plots! Plots come in 15x15, 20x20, and 25x25 and can be bought or rented out. Rent is 10% of the cost to buy and is collected on the 1st of every month. Even if you rent for only a portion of the month, you have to pay rent for a full month. If you disown your plot after only a portion of a month has gone by, you will still pay the full rent come the 1st of the next month. This means that even if you rent it for just a day, you still have to pay full rent. You will also only be able to build inside your plot if you rent, but you will receive farm perms. Plot prices are: for 15x15, $1000 to buy and $100 to rent; for 20x20, $1750 to buy and $175 to rent; and for 25x25, $2750 to buy and $275 to rent. These are calculated by multiplying the area of the plot by 4.44 and rounding to the nearest lower multiple of 50. Rent is calculated by dividing the cost of buying a plot by 10. When buying a plot or paying a month's rent, do /pay pooch12 (required amount), I will keep track of who does and does not pay. Failure to pay for buying a plot will result in you not getting the plot, and failure to pay rent will result in a user complaint. As for farms, it is a special situation. Since I have no water perms, we have three farming complexes located around bodies of water. They are, from north to south, Uptown, Midtown, and Downtown; all located along or near Farm Boulevard, the north-south road located to the west of our warp. All farms have melon, pumpkin, and sugarcane; Uptown has wheat and potato, Midtown has potato and carrot, and Downtown has wheat and carrot. At Midtown is a small market for buying crops at 2x the /sell hand price if either you don't have farm perms, have lost the passcode for the gates, or don't feel like farming. Farm perms come with buying or renting a plot; I will inform you of the month's passcode and you are not to tell anyone without farm perms of the code! If I change the passcode, either because it's a new month or because I had to remove perms from someone, I will inform all those with perms. If damages occur to the farm due to you telling the passcode to someone who shouldn't know it, you will be held responsible! Freetown is now open! If you decide to join, remember that you are also agreeing to all of the rules and will accept all punishments for breaking them, as your agreement to the rules in return for membership is a legally (ingame law, not irl law) binding contract that you can be punished by staff for violating as it constitutes scamming me.
