Minecraft Username: xOSneakyNinjaOx Brief Description: When searching Google for an ECC forum page. Google automatically server an AMP links, AMP is pretty buggy in every website, so it's best to disable it from the publisher side, as for a user, its pretty difficult. As you can see by the screenshot, the forum medals are enlarged and stacked vertically ontop of each other. thus making it difficult to scroll down to view the text in the post. Instructions: Do a Google search on a device that supports AMP links them click on a EGG post How many times did you recreate this?: Tested multiple times on an s7 Edge, running Android Pie in Chrome and Brave browser. Obviously this will only happen on mobile devices as AMP links are designed for mobile. Here is a good site which summarizes why AMP is pretty poor https://www.alexkras.com/i-decided-to-disable-amp-on-my-site/ Evidence:
This only seems to be a problem for old threads and not something I can easily work around. The users will have to work around it. Slowly, over time, google has stopped serving our pages as AMP. Or at least I believe so. Try to find out 2018 and newer if you can and post it here.
It seems to be pretty random when Google decides to serve an AMP links, the following links are both from 2019 and both serve an AMP link. https://ecocitycraft.com/forum/thre...irements-for-mcmmo-pre.182959/?amp=1554070660 https://ecocitycraft.com/forum/threads/user-complaint-wolfspy7-wolfservices.181563/?amp=1550497793
After a good 10 minutes of searching, Google doesn't seem to be serving any AMP links from their forums or any other section. Have looked at both new and old posts .
Sorry to bump an old thread, however it seems that AMP links are slowly stopping from being served by Google, I've only seen a couple over the last week or so. The links that were previously sent as AMP links are now being served normally by Ecocitycraft
