Very basic and straightforward suggestion... Could there be another layout for the forum in a lighter color? Keep the blues and all--just change the dark greys to be light greys/whites (and of course fix the main text to be legible--a light-medium blue, or dark grey?). (I know some forum..shells...allow for multiple layout options within user control panel areas, but others may not, so...) A lighter layout will feel more up-beat and happy; optimistic, I suppose. Dark is sometimes nice on the eyes, but I have known many people (and myself) to find it kind of depressing. As well, lots of other MC server sites use dark layouts... Often this one (Xenfero?), with dark greys/blacks, and just changing the blue to another color. (And I honestly miss how the old forum style was light. ;; It felt more like "ECC," but maybe that is just me.) Having a light option for some users - does not at all have the be the default set or one seen by logged-out users - would be a refreshing change imho, and give some more variety. I just do not know how easy it is to have two options available, or if it is possible...
I do hope you guys know I am not suggesting to bring the old forum style back. :b Just a lighter version of the current layout. I actually like aspects of the new forum, just the "feel" of the old is missed. xP
ik its just sometimes when you are reading some things are hard to see and lighter pops more then black and gray
