Minecraft Username: Riggs316 Brief Description: When I enable fly on the MainNorth server, I am only able to get what would be roughly two feet off the ground and then my character becomes completely immobile, similar to how it is if use /warp Festival with fly enabled, until I double tap space to stop flying, or turn fly off using /fly. I was actually in the ECC Festival town with fly enabled when I was summoned to the lobby during maintenance last night. Once I was returned to MainNorth, into the Festival town, I then used the /home command to go back to my town. It was there that I realized that I was unable to properly fly. Flying works perfectly on Main and MainEast. It's almost as if the /fly disable from Festival somehow stuck with my character. Q_Q I have tried relogging, restarting my computer and client, etc. I've also tried dying to see if that would alleviate the issue, but unfortunately, it has persisted. Instructions: Enable Flying on MainNorth, and attempt to actually fly. Get stuck hovering in place just above ground until disabling fly again. How many times did you recreate this?: Each time I have tried enabling fly on MainNorth. Result: Hover in place held down by your sadness of not being able to fly around your town. Expected Result: To be able to fly high with the eagles. Evidence: The height that my character is off the ground is literally as high as I can go on MainNorth.
This is an effect of the moderately effective anti-tampering flags on /warp festival. Just do /speed 2
Thank you @OConner1279, I just assumed something happened. I also saw in chat to do /speed fly 1, and that solved it. Now if you'll all excuse me, I shall be going into my Smooth Brained Hospice Center for the Elderly. \o/
As mentioned, likely something to do with the festival. Glad you got it resolved. @ClarinetPhoenix are there any flag adjustments that can be made to prevent this issue for others?
We could add a command-on-exit to the region to reset their speed as they leave. This flag along with command-on-entry are both disabled/not usable by me for reasons, but if you don’t mind setting one. I’ve purposely adjusted fly speed in the region to prevent fly if the fly deny flag is bypassed, which does happen.
