If it's broken file a bug report? Otherwise be specific? (inb4 I did file a bug report and they didn't do anything: then why would they do something now)
Have some patience... it's not like our issues with fishing haven't been heard and aren't being addressed. Making sure that something will stay fixed takes time to do right, and I for one don't want a hasty patch job that does more harm than good. https://ecocitycraft.com/forum/threads/fishing-issues-thread.174157/
For one jamie should have tested this update, before rolling out a bugged one...Second version control, he should have rolled back immediately upon finding major issues with the update...Third it has been two weeks.
In a perfect world with a team of developers this may be true and testing is a much easier to accomplish option. We have a single developer that I feel does the very best job he can under the circumstances. From your perspective, version control would seem to be the option, however, from the server's point of view, the issue of fishing hacks has been dealt with at least temporarily until a better solution can be found. While 2 weeks seems like a long time, the reality is that is just a speck of time in terms of gaming. Patience is a virtue... give Jamie a chance to get things right.
I mean, there’s other ways of making money besides fishing. Think of the positive, at least autofishing is disabled right now
You think I don't test versions? Hah. I run a complete clone of ecc to do that, and test every version. The author has found another issue which caused a memory leak, dropping the tps to 15 and below. The build with the fixed fishing is affected by this, and we dont want to put the server at more risk. Also, I explained in discord we will not be reverting due to a variety of reasons. Mainly autofishing. Be patient. You don't know the full story.
