    I am taking a poll on wether you like fishing, or farming! Mainly I was curious, why do people farm and not fish? And why do people fish and not farm? I do both, mainly pumpkin farm. I would like if many people do this as-posible. Now there is no prize for doing this, mainly I'm not giving a prize, because there is no point of doing it. Here's application and poll is on top.

    The reason I farm is because it makes a lot more money then fishing. Farming can get boring after a while but I find fishing more boring then farming.

    I disagree that fishing makes you more money than farming. Maybe with a 200x200 farm with eff 5, but still with even a low fishing skill you can make waaaaaay more money per hour fishing than farming on a 10x10 or 20x20 farm.

    Fishing makes more money per hour, especially since the eff 5 nerf.

    Now ema 10x10's or 20x20's won't make you money what so ever. Now farming on a 200x200 farm is way different then 20x20's.

    I do both. While I wait for my farm to grow back after I harvest it, I fish. Kills 2 birds with 1 stone.

    I fish because if I try to farm with an eff tool then I always break through the ground ;( I always like farms that had cobble or something underneath the dirt so that's harder plus harder for water to fall from above grounds and flood other floors. I do like wheat farming for money. I use meloslices and carrots for food, and potatoes for exp. I have small tiny farms in a 10x10 house. Lol.

    Not true, as a President I fish. But as a Resident & Mayor, I always farmed.

    I farmed when I was a builder&resident. As a mayor, I fish 10x as much as I farm.

    I truely side with shrinkwrap4me on this one, shrink is correct this is not true. This is a main "opinon thread", and I believe from Builders-Eco-Leader, that everyone fishes. From Builder-Eco-Leader, everyone farms. I will include as-well Moderators, SuperMods, and GameAdmin's, fishes or farms. Now when it was 1.2.5, no one fished because the fishing prices if you did, "/sell hand" wasn't as good as a great profit as Pumpkins, or wheat did. Wheat use to do 1.75 per, and pumpkins 1.50 per. So in the 1.3 timing, (early 1.3), the thernd of fishing came in. In the timing of the middle of 1.3, it kinda faded away from me. In the end of 1.3, it was all over Global of fishing, to this day I've seen users of ECC doing one and not the other, I kinda want to know how you feel of you're habbits of making money on ECC. I hope people understand that both will give you a profit, and both are just a trend and not a profit WAR. Now fishing is what Rampage said, "I fish while I wait for my farms to grow''. Now at both times you make a profit. So this war betwen two can be stopped if one of them gets Nerfed. So mainly fishing can be a players money crop and so can farming can be you're money crop.

    Fishing. <3 Farms that will produce a profit... 1. Required large farm, costs money to rent/make, 2. Enchanted tool(s), costs money to buy/repair/get EXP, or time to get EXP to enchant, 3. Giant lag messes that older or crappier computers cannot handle (i.e., my nice, fairly new, laptop).

    Just my opinion on farming, at least... Richie people don't seem to have issues with that stuff, but they has the money or means already. Or friends who give them stuff. ;-; And in my case..really, my laptop isn't /that/ bad, and even being within 100 blocks of a 100x100 farm causes my game to freeze up or my computer to go bonkers.

    Imho, fishing is soothing and relaxing. It costs almost no money to make a fishing pole and hire someone to make a small fishing table for you (or no money, if you fish vanilla). For me it even varies and I do not make much of a profit sometimes--which is saddening, but knowing that I get good hours of fishing keeps me motivated. As well, with a fishing table, I do not have to stay at my game screen, and I have the choice to chat with people. xP

    That is a great opinon of you'res MoofinK, I respect how you feel that you're not a person who can't setup a big farm due to money concerns. Now money doesn't fall of trees right? So you do have a great point for you're self!

    My opinion: Autofish while afking your double/triple spawner, and talk in global chat. You get 10-15k for the exp then another 10k for fishing ;P I have a 5 in one spawner so I make tons from exp while I make some from autofishing
