Minecraft Username: VikkStorm Brief Description: a locked fence gate can be opened with a pressure plate. Instructions: make a fence gate, place and lock the fence gate, put the pressure plate in front of the fence gate and it opens. How many times did you recreate this bug?:5/5 Result: the fence gate opens Expected Result: the fence gate would not open. Evidence: none but try it for yourself and see.
I can back him up on this bug overriding the lock. Tried it myself with vikkstorm and the locks don't work correctly. Might want to switch from a gate to a door to protect your horses until this glitch is resolved. Also I wouldn't leave a gate to protect my private locations from intruders. They can just open it like you never locked the entrance in the first place.
Why does it seem like doors are set to redstone off while gates are default redstone on? Wouldn't it be better to default it off so that builders and others unaware don't have useless locks while they are learning the wealth of commands ecc has?
There's also a glitch that when you place a pressure plate in front of two doors that are locked the one that you put it in front of gets unlocked.
Ive tried do /credstone <on/off> and it still seems to allow me to open the gate with a pressure plate
The problem is that when you place a pressure plate next to a locked door, the pressure plate is automatically also locked by you, regardless of the door having redstone on/off. However, when you place a pressure plate next to a fence gate, it does not lock, and you cannot lock it through regular means. I will see if we can get one of the devs to fix this.
