Minecraft Username: clou44 Brief Description: blocks that have been "placed" in an area where you do not have rights can be jumped on, and then used to get over fences. Instructions:when you are in an area that you do not have rights to, you can place a block next to a fence, then jump on to it and jump again where it would be and get over the fence. How many times did you recreate this bug?: 3. Result: I got into a town that i did not have rights to by jumping over the fence blocking the portal. the town is owned by chargers2417 and he knows that i was there. Expected Result: could not jump over fence. Evidence: no evidence.
I'm not sure if this could be considered an exploit, given that a block placed beside a fence, or even a block or two further away depending on your jumping skills, would allow you to clear the 1 1/2 block height of a fence has been able to be done as far back as I can remember, which was 1.8.1.
the exploit is really being able to jump on things that arent there... the block disappears after i place it, but i can still jump on it.
Ya this happens quite often. The block exists for the moment between placement and removal due to not having permission to place the block. Sometimes people can click 4+ times depending on lag and seem to be flying or to climb ontop of things like the spawn portals. I'm not sure there is really any fix to this, world guard takes a moment to check if you have perms and I'm not sure if there is a way to speed that up. RagMan
