Minecraft Username: IrishknifeRD Brief Description: Was farming. had a full inventory so did /sethome, /home bed, unloaded and /home. When arriving back to where I was at (coords will be posted further down) I slipped through the trench all the way down to the ground below. I retrieved all of my stuff but lost about 95k experience. Instructions: Sethome in water with 1 land to the left, right and below. When you go to /home the game sets you at the lowest water point phasing you potentially through the land into the air. How many times did you recreate this?: 3 times. Once with Killrdarknes nearby Result: It honestly looks like im just slipping through the land. Expected Result: to remain in the water or on land. Evidence: 13937.084, 120.000, 7734.302
added i may have lost my efficiency 5, fortune 3, unbreaking 5 pickaxe from this as well. i cant seem to find it in my inventory or any chests. edit disregard. im stupid and placed it elsewhere prior.
I have not been able to reproduce this. Please provide an exact location of a /sethome spot. We need the server your are on, the world you are in, and the co-ordinates. The only way we are able to return items/xp & anything else is if we can reproduce the issue and verify it is a confirmed bug. Our tombstone features by the way prevents the loss of items/xp so you may want to check that out for the future.
Alright I figured out how the bug works (or what im referring to as a bug). For reference this was originally done on Main in Rising at the location 13937.084, 120.000, 7734.302 Now how the bug works, by crouching while over a block and doing /sethome and the doing /home, you actually clip into the block below you. so normally the limit would be XXXXX.30 but in the instance of what I did, I was lower than the .30 allowing me to go either way. In my farm setup currently this sent me to my death since there was nothing below me. I'm really hoping this will allow me to get my experience back. It is reproducible and Zedoker did witness me doing this several times on Saturday. Here is the video of the entire thing: So just to clarify steps: 1. Crouch while over the edge and do sethome 2. Do /home where you will fall partially into the block you were on before 3. walk into that block falling through it.
Bug has been verified and we will be adding it to our development todo list. @UnitedStates2 please check the logs for amount of XP owed at the time of this death, and award it to the user.
This has been determined to be a vanilla bug and not something we can fix. We highly recommend you take care when setting /home positions. PS: @UnitedStates2 @ClarinetPhoenix has the EXP been returned to @IrishknifeRD ?
I never lost it. I placed it in a tertiary chest for some reason and forgot I did that. So still have it. Thanks though!
