While it is impolite to ask a Lady her age, I spoke honestly of being 28 on my Staff Application. However, after looking at some of the other applications, I was rather astounded... 11? 13? 15? It's rather enough to make one feel their age... and while I can't say I'm surprised that a game like Minecraft, and a server like ECC, would appeal to just about everyone... I can't help but look at this and feel a little old. So, to help stave off the impending feeling of the approach of time, I thought some of us older generation ECC players could post comments below and reassure each other that we are not alone.
Don't worry you're not alone. There are actually several threads about this already but I think we are all losing our memory so we don't actually remember talking about this before in a thread I'm 29 and i know for a fact there are players in their late 30s early 40s.
Well, after my next birthday, which is coming way too soon for my liking, I'll stay 29, and just tack on xp. No need to reach 30, I just be 29 again, with a year of experience.
That's because a good portion of the players in their late teens, twenties, and thirties either already are moderators or else have been mod before and have no interest in taking up the reigns again. You're seeing only a portion of the player-base, and there's lots of older players around.
Like Rock said, most of the "older"( I wouldn't say < 35 is old) people either don't care about getting on staff or are already on staff. And around a fourth of all players are > 20 SKSoccer, you are about 50 years off :b
While I may not be a very old player, I am 11, and if this counts for anything (I doubt it does) Ive played ecc for 9 months and everyone I am friends with that didnt know my age until i told them, they all thought i was 14+, maybe because of my grammar? ELA/Spelling are my best subjects. Anyways, just wanted to let you know. Seemed like the perfect thread to share this in. (And btw monkeybutt was one of the people who thought I was 14+)
I wonder how Silence_isgolden and lnspectHerGadget is... Silence, as said in an old post, has 9 kids so he must be quite old (not VERY old, but around 40) and lnspect, in vent, said he had a few kids...
