Hello, I want some feedback on two types of picks. I don't know what one I would use! Eff 4 Unb 3 Silk 1 Eff 4 Unb 4 Fortune 1
It all depends on what you want to do. I would personally prefer the pick with Fortune. If you have both already, take silk touch with you to mine, then set the ores up again in a safe place and use your Fortune pick. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk
By taking the Silk with you while you mine, you are able to hold more and therefore take less trips back and forth. You can Fortune the ore up on your own time when you get bored of mining or need the money or whatever. The flip side is some people feel this is like mining the item twice. So they will just take the Fortune pick only and just "sell hand" along the way so they don't have to go back and forth every 10 min. I'm in the Silk camp, but I also think I am in the minority.
Well personally I like using a fortune and bringing a crafting table, when my inventory gets full I just make the coal, redstone, lapis, etc into blocks.
Considering you only have fortune 1, use silk touch. Save the ores until you have a fortune 3 pick or can borrow one from someone else. In general though, I like silk because it saves inventory save and you can sell stone for $0.05 higher than cobblestone. It may not seem like a lot, but after a while it will add up.
If you get a fortune 3 use that... I use to mine with silk then fortune all ores, but think about it, you could just mine as you go and /sell hand or /sell all
