How does this work now? I have a 1 chunk, multi-level wheat farm. A few months ago, I could start at the top, harvest and replant all the way to the bottom, and by the time I climbed to the top, the top level was completely regrown. As of today, I harvested and replanted the entire farm... all 15+ levels, and the top level is still mostly green shoots. I even installed AFK rails on the top and sat in it running for 30 minutes without any significant change. So, what's the deal? Is farming out now as a money maker? I know I have to be in the chunk to make it update, but did the update rate change?
Hmm, this is odd. As far as I am concerned, after 1.3? the amount of chunks that grew around you got boosted, from just the one that you're standing in, to the one you're standing in and two more in every direction. (1-->9) When I use my wheat farm (32x32 10 floor), I have no problem getting it fully grown at all. Possibly you have some sort of bug. Moved: General Discussion-->Help/Support
Adding to what harry said, to grow all of the chunks, they must be activated by a player. By what you are saying it seems as though not all of the chunks are activated, which is a sign that a player is not in them.
