Welcome to the 2020 Fall Season Build Contest!

Some of you know EcoCityCrafts long history of sad, tired, and repetitive single theme contests. After all, there are only so many holidays we can celebrate a year right? Yeah…...well.

What if I told you that this season's build contest comes with the roll-out of a brand new contest!?!?

I now present EcoCityCraft’s 2020 Fall Build Contest! You’ll like what I have to offer you this time. Intrigued? Keep reading!

Builds will be judged and awarded prizes of four different tiers. While it is required for you to choose a theme, you do NOT need to participate in the other tiers if you do not wish to do so. This is an opportunity to earn more money for your creativity but is not required to place in the competition!

Best Overall:
The top 3 scoring builds will be determined by most points awarded. This section judges the overall appeal, creativity, detail, use of space and complexity of the presented builds.
For those who don’t make the top three but still display a decent amount of skill will be presented with an Honorable Mention!

ALL winning categories will be presented with their own Lore’d item medal to represent their achievement!

Prizes:
1st Place: $200 GiftCard for the Buycraft store!
2nd Place: $150 GiftCard for the Buycraft store!
3rd Place: $100 GiftCard for the Buycraft store!
Honorable Mentions: $250,000 EcoDollars!

Best of Theme:
This prize will go to the build that best represents its registered/presented theme! Each theme that is offered in a build competition will have a single winner for “Best of Theme”.
The builds that place for Overall Best may also win a Best of Theme as well!
When choosing a theme, make sure to only pick one!

Best of Halloween Theme: $200,000 EcoDollars
Best of Cityscape Theme: $200,000 EcoDollars
Best of Water Theme: $200,000 EcoDollars
Best of Space Theme: $200,000 EcoDollars
Best of Forest Theme: $200,000 EcoDollars

Creative Block Challenges:
There are also prizes to be won for the Creative Block Challenges!
These prize awards will go to the builds that are judged to have the most creative use of the following blocks! Builds that also place in Overall Best and Best of Theme may also place in the Creative Block Challenges! Builds may also attempt multiple Creative Block Challenges in their build entry!

Creative Block Challenge: Brown Wool: $100,000 EcoDollars
Creative Block Challenge: Redstone Lamp: $100,000 EcoDollars
Creative Block Challenge: Prismarine Slab: $100,000 EcoDollars
Creative Block Challenge: Iron Trapdoor: $100,000 EcoDollars
Creative Block Challenge: Acacia Planks: $100,000 EcoDollars

Favorites:
Only two sections here, but each build will be held up to the standards of the people to determine the builds who meet these requirements!

Prizes:
Crowd Favorite: $100,000 EcoDollars​

A vote will be taken for the public during the judging period to determine the crowd favorite(s).​

EventsManager Favorite: $100,000 EcoDollars​

I will choose my overall favorite build myself to award this extra bit of EcoDollars!​

Other Information:​

• EcoCityCraft’s Build Competitions are now supported on ALL the Main servers!​
  • Compete on your home server and don’t worry about how you’re going to provide for your build when you don’t have access to your things!​
• Each plot will be provided with a basic set of starting blocks for their builds, including a small number of the Creative Block Challenge blocks! No one should have to start from nothing!​
• You are welcome to use other blocks, you are not limited to the starter chest for supplies!​

Rules:​

• You may only build in your assigned plot.​
• The building period will be between September 13th - October 24th​
• Winners will be announced on October 31st Please allow up to 24 hours to receive your prize(s).​
• You may build alone or with a team.​
• The maximum team size is 5 users.​
• If banned for any reason during the competition, you may be disqualified or removed from the team.​
• After winners are announced, you will have 14 days to remove your build. Anything leftover will be lost.​
• All rules are subject to change. Rule changes will be announced in this thread.​
