Is it just me who loves how kids/squeakers aren't treated as a sub-species on this server? However, I have not been on Teamspeak, so I'm not sure what happens over there.
What on earth are you talking about.....Why should we hate on someone just because they are young or have a high voice...?
Have you played other games or been on any other communities? They are the reason I never use my mic.
Well, on ECC you are babied completely... meaning you can't curse or anything like that. That is my one downside to ECC you get treated like your back in kindergarden.
Sorry OhMrsKittyKat, but that is just an opinion about your perspective on this server. I know sometimes they are going too far. If they don't do this "babied" thing how you explained, many bad things will happen to the server and ruin the server. It will literately become a kindergarden. I'm going to assume you're referring to other games like Call of Duty, Battlefield, Xbox Live, etc. What's ironic is that most who hate on younger guys are actually young themselves, and are aggressive towards other users because it makes them feel better about themselves, more powerful perhaps. Overall, it's just flat out disrespect towards other people, and ECC is generally above this kind of behavior. As Ohmrs said, we (the Staff) do our best to keep the server as clean and age-appropriate as possible. I won't go as far as to call it babying, and I definitely disagree that we treat people like Kindergartners (I ain't going go-go ga-ga with you guys). Even if I may be biased, all players are given respect, and our rules are based on what's appropriate for the youngest of players. If you want to call making it a rule not to curse and go into explicit topics "babying", that's fine by me, but realize that these rules are there for a reason. The positive, care-free attitude that can be found on ECC is simply a means for a much better playing environment. The fact is that most people come to play Minecraft for fun, not to be insulted and watch a bunch of players yell/curse at each other, this feeling is intensified for our younger users. So, I'm very glad you find ECC friendly to younger players tom13king, and I hope you continue to enjoy the server as you explore the various features it has to offer.

'I'm going to assume you're referring to other games like Call of Duty, Battlefield, Xbox Live, ' Mostly, but it happens a lot on TF2 and GMod a lot aswell, basically any game that has adults playing and does not have an anti-abuse rule.
Falcon you are completely innocent to the "babying" I see on ECC. You don't go SGT Hardhat on everyone that makes a small mistake. You don't ban first then ask questions later. You actually pull the person to the side and explain what they did wrong/warn them not to do it again. Mods should honestly take notes of you (Other good mods you know who you are cause i'm either A, friends with you, or B have said something good about you). I hope you go far on staff cause you do a great job, and believe me, for me to say something this nice about staff, it means something.
Lets not get this off topic. OhMrsKittyKat, as we have said numerous times if you have a problem with how staff handle things, please take it to Andrew or file a suggestion which politely states how you think things should be. Bashing staff or targeting them openly is not okay.
If you play Call Of Duty and are a "squeaker".... You're gonna have a bad time.... I don't mind younger kids as I see them as players just as I see older players, no difference to me

This is actually true what you said Lee1104. Kids can also act mature and you won't see the difference with adults that act mature too. However the adult would be better grammatical. Anyway this is off topic what I want to say in this thread is:"Even adults can act immature and won't be punished as hard as kids that are acting immature". Greetings, V6ud
The problem is, even if a kid acts really mature but uses a mic before his voice has broken, he will be abused, no matter what.
To be honest, I'd rather have a civilized community where it is enjoyable to play in, than a community full of douches trying to put others down. If it wasn't for this a lot of fabulous stories that have happened before that made peoples lives better would have never happened. ECC is different, it's better.
